In the early and middle period of the Three Kingdoms, Pingxiang was located in Yichun County, Zhang Yu County, Yangzhou City, Wu State. In 267, Sun Haobaoding, the last emperor of Dongwu, established Pingxiang County, which belongs to Ancheng County, and is the junction of Zhang Yu, Luling and Changsha.
During the Taishi and Xianning years of Sima Yan in Di Chin (265~279), Pingxiang County belonged to Yiyang (Yichun) County, and during the Taikang years (280~289), Ancheng County was set up, belonging to Jiangzhou, and Pingxiang County belonged to Ancheng County of Jiangzhou.
In the 11th year of Emperor Wen of Sui (59 1), Ancheng County was abandoned to Yuanzhou, and then Yichun County was transferred to Pingxiang.
In the fifth year of Wude (62 1), Yichun County was renamed Yuanzhou and Pingxiang Litchi.
During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Pingxiang was first the territory of the State of Wu (907~937) and then the territory of the Southern Tang Dynasty (937~96 1).
Pingxiang belongs to Jiangnan West Road and Yuanzhou in Song Dynasty.
From Kublai Khan in Yuan Shizu to the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty (1277), Yuanzhou belonged to Hunan Province, that is, Pingxiang belonged to Yuanzhou in Hunan. In the fifteenth year of Zhiyuan (1282), Pingxiang belonged to Yuanzhou, Jiangxi.
In Yuan Dynasty (1295), Pingxiang was upgraded to a state, belonging to Yuanzhou Road.
In the second year of Hongwu (1369), Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming emperor, abolished Jiangxi Province in the whole country, changed Jiangxi Province to the political department of Jiangxi Province, and restored Pingxiang to the county, which was under the jurisdiction of Yuanzhou Prefecture.
In the second year of Shunzhi (1645), Fu Lin, the ancestor of the Qing Dynasty, was restored as a province of China and renamed Jiangxi Province. Pingxiang county still belongs to the original state capital.
In the winter of the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), Pingxiang was directly under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province. In the third year of the Republic of China (19 14), Pingxiang belonged to Luling Road.
In the Republic of China 15 (1926), Pingxiang was returned to Jiangxi province.
In 2 1 (1932), Jiangxi province was divided into 13 administrative region, and Pingxiang was the eighth district. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), Jiangxi Province was divided into eight administrative regions, with Pingxiang as the second.
