Poetry is homesickness.
Yu Guangzhong
In childhood
Homesickness is a small stamp.
I'm at this end
Mom is over there.
When I grow up
Homesickness is a narrow ticket.
I'm at this end
The bride is over there.
We'll talk about it later.
Homesickness is a low grave.
I am outside
Mom's inside.
But now
Homesickness is a shallow strait.
I'm at this end
The mainland is over there
Poetry analysis: the author compares the intangible homesickness to four things, which shows the author's sadness. When the author was a child, he pinned his homesickness on letters to his family, so he compared homesickness to stamps. When he grew up, the author and his family separated, so it was difficult to meet his family, so he pinned his homesickness on the boat home, so he compared homesickness to a boat ticket. Later, her mother died, and the author and her mother could never see each other again, so the author compared sadness to a grave. Now, due to man-made reasons, compatriots on both sides of the strait cannot reunite. The author compares his homesickness to the Taiwan Province Strait, expressing his strong yearning for the motherland. 2. Structure: This poem is divided into four sections. The author compares homesickness to stamps, boat tickets, graves and straits in chronological order, which is rigorous in structure and well expresses the center of this poem. Mr Yu Guangzhong, a poet in Taiwan Province, is called "homesick poet". His Homesickness, a well-known poem, is full of the homesickness of overseas wanderers and the poet's "China Complex".
