What was the development of Song poetry in the late Northern Song Dynasty?
Late Northern Song Dynasty (1023~ 1 127). This is a period when poets come forth in large numbers and poetry creation is unprecedentedly prosperous. Wang Anshi, Su Shi and Huang Tingjian are leading poets in the field of poetry, and they are called "Banshanti", "Dongpo Style" and "Guti Style" respectively. They all pay more attention to the ideological nature of poetry and tend to be plain and argumentative. The characteristics of Song poetry are formed in creation. In particular, the Jiangxi Poetry School initiated by Huang Tingjian is the most far-reaching poetry school in the Song Dynasty.
