According to legend, in an ancient Zhuang village, there was a foreign worker who had three beautiful daughters. The eldest daughter and the second daughter are both married to the sons of rich and powerful families, and only the third daughter, Li Mei, is unmarried. She is smart, can sing and write, and has a unique personality. She often gives alms to the poor behind her family's back. Despite the endless stream of rich officials who pursued Li Mei, she refused them one by one, which made her parents hurt their brains. It turns out that Li Mei already has a sweetheart. He is the son of a poor family in this village, and the villagers call him Brother A Qiang. Although A Qiang was born in poverty, he is kind-hearted and often does good for the poor. No matter who is too busy with farm work, he always takes time out to help. His family's delicious food is indispensable to everyone in the village, so he is loved by everyone. A Qiang is smart, too. Although he doesn't read many scriptures, he can write them down. Especially when singing poems and folk songs, it is more touching, and when improvising, folk songs are sung endlessly. Although Li Mei read more scriptures and holy books than he did, he still worshipped him as a teacher. Seeing that Li Mei is modest and studious, A Qiang always treats her as a younger sister and often discusses poetry together. In late February of that year, a folk song competition was held in Zhuangxiang, and both Li Mei and A Qiang signed up for the competition. Listening to their duet is fascinating and haunting. As a result, both of them won the first gold medal. Through this song contest, Li Mei got a better understanding of A Qiang, especially admired his brilliant, ready-made singing skills and helpful personality, which led to her admiration for him. After everyone left, Li Mei deliberately stayed and confided her love to A Qiang, and vowed: "A Qiang's brother will never marry her." A Qiang was very happy to hear her words, but thinking about his own life, he shyly refused and said, "I was born in poverty, and I am afraid that your parents will not agree to this marriage." Li Mei hugged him tightly and told him, "No way, as long as you propose, they will agree." Li Mei's pursuit of A Qiang was known to the villagers. They all said that they would donate a bride price to A Qiang as long as the foreign family was merciful. With the support of the villagers, A Qiang chose an auspicious day, brought a generous gift, and took his matchmaker and companions to propose marriage at home outside the members. Although Mr. and Mrs. W coaxed each other, they refused to betroth their three daughters to A Qiang. They had no choice but to return disappointed. Seeing that her parents were heartless, Li Mei had the idea of eloping.
Late one night, Li Mei jumped out of the window to find her brother A Qiang. Just as they poured out their hearts to each other, the servant broke in and forcibly took Li Mei back. Li Mei sobbed and begged her parents to fulfill her marriage with A Qiang. A Qiang's family is poor, but with his wisdom and hard-working hands, he will live a good life. But stubborn parents still don't agree with her plea. Seeing that infatuated Li Mei could not marry A Qiang, she was disheartened and had the idea that she might as well die. After the parents went to sleep, they left a suicide note and hanged themselves. The maid outside woke up in the dim light and heard that there was something abnormal in the boudoir. She was shocked when she opened it. Li Mei has committed suicide. She cried for help in despair. Suddenly, W-Jia howled and began to cry. They read the suicide note and regretted that they should not interfere with their children's freedom of marriage. The villagers learned from the crying that Li Mei was heartbroken to resist her parents' refusal to give her freedom of marriage, and expressed deep sympathy for her and great indignation at the couple outside.
Besides, when A Qiang came home from W's failed marriage proposal, he didn't think about food and tea, so he fell on the bed. No matter what his parents call him, he just won't return. When the bad news of Li Mei's double suicide came, it was a great spiritual blow to A Qiang. His brain is buzzing, thinking that he will get married if he dies in the underworld. Thinking of this, he got up and walked out of the house, making three steps and two steps, and soon came to Mr. W's house. He threw himself on Li Mei with a "wow". Just at that moment, he suddenly got up and bumped into a beam and went to double suicide. This day is the third day of the third lunar month. When the villagers saw the death of Zhuangcun's good son and daughter, they were all very sad and broke down in tears. Some even eulogized their unswerving love with folk songs, which lasted for three days and three nights, and were buried grandly three days later.
In order to commemorate them, on March 3rd every year, people steamed glutinous rice, brought chickens, ducks and fish, went up the mountain to sweep the grave, and sang together for a few days and nights, forming a song fair.
Legend about hydrangea:
There is a beautiful legend about hydrangea in Zhuangxiang. It is about a poor family living in a small village under the old town of Jiuzhou in Jingxi County more than 800 years ago. Adi, the son of a poor family, fell in love with Axiu, a girl from a neighboring village.
Axiu is beautiful and kind, and deeply loves her honest, hardworking and brave brother. One spring, when Axiu was at the fair, he was attracted by a rich and powerful villain in the town. He wanted to marry Axiu. Axiu threatened to die, but he refused.
When the rogue learned that Axiu loved his younger brother in the neighboring village deeply, he rolled his eyes and made a plan to make Axiu give up. He bribed the government, put Adi in a dungeon on trumped-up charges, and sentenced him to death, awaiting trial in autumn. When Axiu heard the news, it was like a bolt from the blue. He cried all day in Lacrimosa.
After Axiu cried blind, Axiu started sewing hydrangeas stitch by stitch for Adi, who will be beheaded in autumn. The needle pierced his hand and blood flowed to the hydrangea. After being soaked in blood, the flowers on the hydrangea become brighter, the leaves become greener and the birds become more vivid. After 998 1 day, the hydrangea filled with Axiu's deep love for Adi and soaked with Axiu's blood was made.
In Axiu, he sold his jewelry and bribed the jailer. Accompanied by his family, he touched Adi, who was suffering from extreme torture, in a dark and humid dungeon. In desperation, Axiu fumbled for a hydrangea and put it around Adi's neck. At this moment, I saw a flash. Axiu, Adi and his family drifted to the foot of a beautiful and rich mountain, far away from the devil.
Later, Axiu and Adi got married, gave birth to a son and a daughter, and lived a happy life with their hardworking hands. From one word to ten words, slowly, hydrangea has become the mascot of the people in Zhuangxiang and the token of love of the young men and women in Zhuangxiang. Later, there were folk activities such as lion throwing hydrangea and rolling hydrangea.
Nowadays, throwing hydrangea is still a traditional sport that Zhuang people love to see and hear. Its history can be traced back to more than two thousand years ago. At that time, it was an ancient musical instrument made of bronze-"Feituo", which was mostly used for fighting and hunting. Later, Feituo gradually developed into the present embroidered cloth bag, that is, hydrangea. People often throw at each other after meals for entertainment and communication.
Now it has evolved into a way for young Zhuang men and women to express their love. Song Zhu Fu's "Laughter in the Stream" said: "Within a few days, men and women in the wild were divided into two pairs of friends, each with five-colored beans and millet, and they threw each other back and forth."
