Brief introduction of Baishuitai

Baishuitai is located in Bai Di Village, Sanba Township, southeast of Shangri-La County, with an altitude of 2380 meters from the county seat10/km. It is the birthplace of Dongba religion of Naxi nationality. From a distance, the shape of the white water platform in the green hills is really like a terrace. Under the sunlight, it is like a solidified waterfall in a photographic work. One foot on the white stone steps is unspeakable.

In Naxi language, Baishuitai is called "Shibuzhi", which means a growing flower. Baishuitai has the reputation of "immortal legacy". Approaching the platform, I saw that the white water platforms are stacked one after another, just like a piece of slanting moon scattered all over the world, and like the silver ornaments of Naxi girls, they are stacked into countless silver rings, giving people a fresh feeling of throwing gold and cutting jade. On the left is a spring platform, which is shaped like a crescent moon and overflowing with clear springs. According to legend, it is a place where fairies dress up. There is a stone vault on the lower left side of the spring platform, which is as white as jade and looks like a pregnant woman. It is a place where local people worship the god of reproduction. Baishuitai is not only a place with beautiful scenery, but also the center of the birthplace of Dongba religion of Naxi nationality, where religious activities and ethnic programs are held.
