I remember holding a history textbook and learning the story of Dayu's water control three times without entering the house; I know the tragic experience and deep suffering of thousands of floods in the history of our country. The dawn thousands of miles away brought millions of people and starved everywhere. Understanding that water can carry a boat and overturn it is not only a hero who benefits mankind and all beings, but also a profound truth that if it is not done well, it will become the chief culprit of mankind; I have also seen such a historical fact that in the long feudal history of our country, how many feudal dynasties were overthrown and replaced because of corruption and frequent floods, which brought clothing, food and people's livelihood to countless working people. So, in my heart, I planted the seeds that water is interdependent and closely related to human survival and reproduction and social development and progress. I remember when I was a child, it was 1954, just liberated and studying in primary school. In the summer and autumn of that year, there was a rare flood in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Wang Yang is everywhere, and nothing is harvested in the farmland. I waded barefoot to school every day, and even my toes were soaked. The experience of this flood has made me personally realize that the brand that we should always care about water conservancy has deepened in my heart. It is precisely for this reason that I, a cadre who has not specially entered the water conservancy colleges for further study, but has worked in the organization department for a long time, made an organizational decision at the end of 1985 and transferred me to the Municipal Water Resources Department as a deputy leader. Without saying anything, I resolutely obeyed the arrangement of the organization, made a substantial leap in becoming attached to water conservancy, and my fate also gave me new connotations. When I first came to work in the water conservancy department, although I had special feelings for the water conservancy cause, I also had the desire to take the leadership responsibility and do things well. At that time, I often thought that since the organization asked me to work in the water conservancy department, it was a kind of fate, that is, I could only add luster to the fate, but I could not humiliate it. So I made up my mind, on the one hand, to consult many water conservancy veterans and learn the experience of leading and managing water conservancy work, on the other hand, to consult water conservancy scientific and technological personnel and master the technical terms of water conservancy and the necessary knowledge of water conservancy for leadership; On the other hand, I also found a lot of books and magazines on water conservancy, and often read them at night, so that I can master the knowledge of water conservancy as soon as possible and enter the role as soon as possible. More than 20 innovative research reports and theoretical discussion articles on water conservancy development, such as "Accelerating the development of water conservancy industry, cultivating talents who try water conservancy first, and promoting the transformation from engineering water conservancy to resource water conservancy in theory and practice" and "How far is market water conservancy from us", were published in China Water Conservancy and Water Conservancy Development Research sponsored by the Ministry of Water Resources respectively.
