A Brief Introduction to the Author of New Water Margin
Chu Tongqing (19 12- 1995), a native of Kungang Township, Songjiang County, Shanghai, is a teacher, painter and novelist. When I was a teenager, I went to Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts to study western painting, and later transferred to Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts to specialize in oil painting. After graduation, I worked as an art and Chinese teacher in primary and secondary schools in Songjiang and Suzhou. After liberation, he taught in Songjiang Primary School, Songjiang Normal School and Songjiang No.1 Middle School successively, and 1974 retired. As early as the late 1930s, I was engaged in the rewriting of the classic literary masterpiece Water Margin, which lasted for more than forty years and was published by Guangzhou Huacheng Publishing House on 1985, that is, A New Edition of Water Margin. The study of Songjiang Dialect is very interesting, and it was written into four volumes of Songjiang Dialect in the early 1980s. 1In May, 982, he was employed by Songjiang County Records Office to compile Songjiang County Records, mainly writing memorabilia and biographies. Mr. Chu Tongqing loves poetry, but it is a pity that the ancient rhyme of Pingshui is no longer suitable for today's poetry. But according to the rhyme of Jiangnan, I compiled a book "New Rhyme of Jiangnan Poetry". Since the 1990s, the deeds of three rural sages, namely, Zhu, Xia and Xia, have been collected and compiled into a long historical novel "Biography of Heroes". Other works: Notes on Dwelling House, Miscellaneous Notes of Wen Yuan, Mice and Children.
