Poetry Appreciation: "Chrysanthemum" by Yuan Zhen.

The word "Rao" in the first sentence describes the scene of chrysanthemums (many), and the word "Rao" in the second sentence describes the poet's (obsessive) mood when appreciating chrysanthemums.

Some people love chrysanthemums because of their colorful colors, and some people love chrysanthemums because of their clear and elegant fragrance. So why does the poet "prefer chrysanthemums"? The answer was finally revealed: "It's not that chrysanthemums are preferred among flowers, but that there will be no flowers after all the flowers are in bloom"! It’s not because the color and fragrance of chrysanthemums attract me, but because in the cold winter, there are no other flowers to appreciate except chrysanthemums! Here, the poet firmly grasps the natural phenomenon of the chrysanthemum finally withering among the flowers, and once again expresses his love for the chrysanthemum. From this, we can fully appreciate the poet's admiration for the chrysanthemum's fearless cold and indomitable spirit. Admire.
