Classification of novels
According to different classification standards, novels are divided into different categories:
According to length and capacity, they can be divided into novels, Novellas, narratives, short stories and micro-novels.
According to content, it can be divided into historical novels, modern novels, science fiction novels, public case novels, martial arts novels, romance novels, legendary novels, etc.
According to the writing style, it can be divided into chapter novels, diary novels, epistolary novels, autobiographical novels, etc.
According to language form, it can be divided into classical Chinese novels, vernacular novels, etc.
Prose
Prose has different meanings in different times. Modern prose is a literary genre alongside poetry, novels, and dramas. Ancient prose refers to all styles of writing except verse.
Modern prose
Modern prose mainly includes narrative prose, lyrical prose and argumentative prose. Prose that is mainly written about people and has both lyrical and argumentative elements is called narrative prose. Ancient prose

4. Drama
Drama is a comprehensive stage art. The drama mentioned here is actually a script, which is a literary style alongside novels, poems, and prose. Drama is inseparable from dramatic conflict, which is reflected in the conflict of characters' personalities and is specifically expressed as a series of actions. Dramatic language includes character language (i.e. lines) and stage instructions. Stage description is an explanatory text written at the beginning, end and middle of the dialogue of each act of the script. The content includes the character list, time, location, costumes, props, scenery and the characters' expressions, movements, entrance and exit, etc. It can enhance the stage atmosphere. , highlight the character's mood, show the character's personality, promote the development of the plot and other functions.
