Poetic background
Jiang Jin Jiu is a long parallel poem written by Shen Li, a poet in Tang Dynasty, in Chang 'an. According to legend, he was demoted to (now Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province) for offending the then Prime Minister Li, and wrote this famous poem there.
Poetry content
This poem begins with "Don't you see how the water of the Yellow River moves to the sky, enters the ocean and never returns", which depicts the magnificent scene of the Yellow River and expresses the poet's bold feelings. Then, the poet wrote: "You can't see the lovely hair in the mirror of the high hall. Although it is silky black in the morning, it turns into snow at night", expressing his feelings about the passage of time. Finally, the poet wrote: "Oh, let a man with spirit take risks where he wants to go, and never point his golden cup at the moon!" " , expressed his love and cherish for life.
