Why did Ai Qing push modern poetry to another climax after Guo Moruo?
Ai Qing has published a monograph on poetry aesthetics with a bibliography. Although it was published later than the articles of poets and scholars such as Hu Shi, Zong Baihua, Zheng Zhenduo, Wen Yiduo, Dai Wangshu, Zhu Ziqing, Guo Moruo, Zhu Guangqian, Hu Feng and Cang Kejia, it is the 1 monograph of China's comprehensive and systematic study of new poetry since the May 4th Movement. In later years, he constantly supplemented, deepened and developed this monograph, making it a unique poetic aesthetic system in the history of China's new poetry in the 20th century. Ai Qing's poetic aesthetic system is based on the theoretical framework of three-dimensional space of truth, goodness and beauty. He pointed out: "Our poet is riding a tricycle of pure gold, on the Yuan Ye of life. These three wheels shine with the same light and vibrate with the same solemn rumble.
