When people talk about Liu Yong's ci, they often focus on his development in long and slow ci. In fact, his achievements in poetry creation are also very noticeable. In the article "On Liu Yong's Ci", I once talked about the expansion of Liu's Ci in artistic conception, and thought that most of the poems described in the Tang and Five Dynasties were just a kind of feeling that "a woman in spring is good at taking care of others", while some "masterpieces of self-lyricism" in Liu's Ci described "a kind of sadness that autumn literati are vulnerable to". This feature is obvious in some of his long-term representative works, such as Basheng Ganzhou, Quyuguan and Xuemeixiang. However, the expansion of Liu Ci is really not limited to his long and slow words, but also his short words, and there are some remarkable developments in content and artistic conception. Just like this little poem "Youth Tour", Liu Yong wrote his sadness of "autumn susceptibility" into a masterpiece of Lingci.
The reason why Liu Yong often has a "loss of ambition" is that on the one hand, because of the influence of family background, he once had the ambition to use the world, on the other hand, because of his natural endowment, he likes romantic life. When he finally came in the early years, although he could be dismissed by "singing and dancing lightly", he lost his interest in traveling when he was old, so after his ambition failed, he gained more feelings and lost a sadness. What can best convey his double sadness is the small word "Youth Travel".
Like some of Liu Yong's slow words, this little word is also about autumn scenery, but its artistic conception and voice are quite different. In this small word, Liu Yong lost both lofty interest and nostalgic feelings, and the whole word was full of deep and desolate tone and voice. Judging from this performance, this word is probably Liu Yong's later works. The beginning of "Chang 'an" can have two meanings: realism and metonymy. As far as realism is concerned, Liu Yong has indeed been to Chang 'an, Shaanxi Province, and he once wrote another poem "Youth Tour" with the phrase "Baling Bridge Broken Smoke Tree", which is enough to prove it. In Yan Yu's place, "Chang 'an" was originally a famous ancient capital in the history of China, which was often used as the capital of the previous generation, while the chariots and horses coming and going on Chang 'an Road were often referred to as striving for fame and fortune. However, the word "Liu Yong" is connected with the word "Yan" under the word "Ma", which is in sharp contrast with the possible competition and association caused by the previous "Chang 'an Road". As for writing the word "ancient" on the word "Tao", it can also remind people of the galloping of horses and chariots on Chang 'an Road, which originally came from ancient times, thus generating an infinite sense of vicissitudes. In a word, the phrase "Chang 'an ancient road is slow" has far-reaching implications, which not only shows that the poet has long been discouraged from struggle, but also shows his profound thinking about the vicissitudes of life in ancient and modern times.
The following sentence "The cicada hisses on the high willow" may be written in some notebooks, but the cicada is very small. The cicada habitat is definitely different from the crow habitat. The cicada is good at hissing, so it is thought to be "cicada hissing". Qiu Chan's screams are even more bleak. The cloud "Qiu Chan is singing in the Woods" in Nineteen Ancient Poems, and Cao Zhi's "Give a White Horse to Wang Biao" to "Cry by My Side" all show a sad feeling of changing seasons and crisp autumn. Liu Yong added a word "chaos" to cicada singing, which not only showed the dazzling cicada, but also showed the dazzling mood of the poet who was sad for cicada singing. As for the word "high willow", it means the place where cicadas sing, and the word "high" means scattered willow. Because its drooping thick branches and dense leaves have withered, it is the "high" of its tree.
The following three sentences, "The sunset is beyond the bird, the autumn wind is beyond the moon, and the eyes are hanging for four days", are written about the bleak and desolate scene that the poet saw in the autumn countryside, "The sunset is beyond the bird", and some books are "outside the island", which is untrue. There can't be an "island" on Chang 'an Road. As for being "out of the bird", it is enough to explain the vastness of the countryside. In the past, Du Mu wrote a poem, "There are no solitary birds in the sky". Birds disappear outside the sky, and sunset disappears outside the birds, so it is called "Sunset is outside the birds". At sunset, the cold wind blows in the suburbs, so it is also called "the original autumn wind". This scene is like reading it in front of you. However, in this situation, it is difficult for the frustrated poet to go home. Therefore, if you say "your eyes are broken for four days", the sky will be grey and the poet will be blind for ever. In the first half of the above, the poet wrote about his stumbling at that time, hoping to forget everything. Everything came from outside, and he was deeply moved.
When I started writing about the past, all my hopes and happiness could not be redeemed. First of all, the phrase "gone to the clouds without a trace" is already a metaphor for all things that disappear and can't come back. The image of "cloud" is the most obvious thing, covering the world and never coming back. Therefore, the first poem in Tao Yuanming's Ode to the Poor once used "cloud" as a metaphor. It said, "When can I see the warm afterglow in the air?" Bai Juyi's Flowers Are Not Flowers also says that "going away is like floating clouds, and there is nowhere to be found", while Liu Yong's seven words "going back to the clouds without a trace" show the image of never coming back. However, the theme of its metaphor is different. The metaphor of Tao Yuanming and Bai Juyi is not discussed in detail here. As for the metaphor of this sentence in Liu Yong's ci, its tone is directly related to the next sentence "where is the early stage?" The so-called "pre-period" can have two kinds of hints: one refers to the old period of ambition and mind, and the other refers to the old period of dating. In short, the word "period" is a wish and expectation. For Liu Yong, he can be said to be an unfortunate person who also failed to live up to expectations and wishes.
So the following three sentences are directly written about my loneliness at that time, saying, "I am a stranger in a strange place, and the drinker is desolate, unlike when I was a teenager." When he was frustrated in his early years, his teasing interest of "I am lucky to have the right person, but I can't find him" has been ignored, and all the "crazy friends" he hung out with that day have died. Nothing has been achieved, and the years have passed, leaving only the sadness and sigh of "not being like a teenager". The word "youth" in this sentence is used as "last year" in many books. The word "last year" was not bad. When people get old, their interests and health will decline, and they often feel that they are getting worse every year. Therefore, if the sentence is "last year", its sadness is also extremely deep. However, if we look at the words "the cloud has disappeared without a trace, where is the early stage" in front of this word, it seems that it cherishes the past many years ago, so it seems more passionate and regrettable to hurt the present and feel the past.
Liu Yong's first poem "Youth Tour" begins with a scene, and the sadness is beyond words; Hou Kun used the metaphor of "returning to the cloud" to write all the expected failures, and the last three sentences ended in lamenting his own failures. The whole poem is mixed with scenes, and the actual situation corresponds. It is a good word that can express Liu Yong's life tragedy and has high artistic attainments. In a word, Liu Yong, as a young man endowed with romantic nature and creative ability of folk songs, lived in the family environment and social tradition of the gentry at that time, and was doomed to be a tragic figure full of contradictions and unacceptable, and his awareness of using the world cultivated the day after tomorrow was also in conflict with his innate romantic character and talent. In his early years, although he was able to turn frustration into a wine affair, it was only an anesthesia, not something he could rely on for a long time. So when he was older, all his ambitions and feelings finally fell through. Yesterday, Ye Mengde recorded the story that Liu Yong could not write lyrics all his life. He once said: "I have always made good use of his words, but I got his name first and then regretted it for myself ... but I can't save it." Don't be careless when choosing surgery. " Liu Yong's tragedy deserves sympathy and reflection.
