Tears are hot:

Heart-solidified the world

Tears-softened the world.

Your center

Your crystal

Stars is Bing Xin's first collection of poems, which included 164 short poems written by the poet from the winter of 1919 to the autumn of 1921, and was first published in Beijing Morning Post. "Stars" was written by Bing Xin under the influence of the Indian poet Tagore's "Birds". In her own words, it is a collection of "fragmentary thoughts".

generally speaking, they include three aspects.

First, the praise of maternal love and innocence. Bing Xin, the first famous female writer in the history of modern literature in China, was famous for advocating "the philosophy of love" as soon as she entered the literary world. And maternal love is the fundamental starting point of "the philosophy of love". She believes that maternal love is the source of all things and the fundamental driving force for the world to move toward the light. "With love, there is everything." In Stars, she regards maternal love as the noblest and most beautiful thing and praises it repeatedly.

This ode to motherly love accounts for a considerable proportion in The Stars. It can be said that it is the affectionate praise of maternal love that lays the deep and delicate emotional tone of this work. Closely linked with the praise of maternal love is the treasure of innocence, childlike interest, childlike innocence and all new things. In the eyes of poets, the world full of innocence and childlike interest is the most beautiful world on earth.

the second is to worship and praise nature. In Bing Xin's view, human beings come from and belong to nature, and they should be in harmony.

Bing Xin also integrates maternal love, innocence and nature:

Creator-

If there is only one promise of bliss in the eternal life,

I sincerely beg:

"I am in my mother's arms,

my mother is in the boat,

the boat is in it.

This poem perfectly combines the praise of maternal love, the call for innocence and the chant for nature, creating a world of perfection and beauty, with sincere feelings, fresh and elegant language and endless aftertaste and enlightenment. It is one of the most beautiful chapters in Bing Xin's poems.

the third is thinking and feeling about life. We call these poems "philosophical poems", which are concise and meaningful.

In terms of art, Stars combines the strengths of China's classical poems and Tagore's philosophical poems, and is good at capturing instant inspiration and writing inner feelings and thoughts in a few words. The form is short and meaningful. Especially in language, it is fresh, elegant, crystal clear and beautiful, clear and smooth, and has a unique artistic charm.
