Starry Sky in Hargil is a poem written by Nishikawa, a contemporary poet in China, who arrived in Qinghai Lake and returned from Hargil in 1980.
Creation background
Hargill is a small town in northern Qinghai Province, near Qinghai Lake. It is the only place from Xining to Golmud, with Hargeer Station. The author arrived in Qinghai Lake via Hargeer in 1980, and wrote this poem when he came back.
Brief introduction of the author
Xichuan (1963-), formerly known as Liu Jun, is a contemporary poet, essayist and essayist in China, whose real name is Liu Jun, 1963, a native of Xuzhou, Jiangsu. He began to write poetry in college, and took part in the national poetry movement at that time, advocating the intellectual spirit in poetry creation. 1985 graduated from English Department of Peking University. In 2002, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Iowa. He is currently teaching at the School of Humanities, Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts.
