Why did Tang poetry become prose instead of poetry after being translated into vernacular Chinese?

This is determined by the linguistic features of poetry and the development of language itself. The language of poetry is jumping and general, and the sentence patterns are often inverted. After translation, these features should be removed or weakened to conform to the expression of modern vernacular Chinese. Moreover, the meaning of words is constantly developing and changing. If you want to translate it in an elegant way, you must have the right words combined in a modern logical way.
