Bai Juyi (772 ~ 846), whose name is Lotte, also known as Mr. Zuiyin, was born in Xinzheng, Henan Province (now xinzheng city, Zhengzhou, Henan Province). He was a great realistic poet in the Tang Dynasty and one of the three great poets in the Tang Dynasty. Bai Juyi was born in Dongguozhai, Xinzheng, Zhengzhou (now Dongguosi Village, xinzheng city) in the first month of the seventh year of Tang Daizong Dali (772). Bai's ancestral home is Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, and Bai Juyi's grandfather, Bai Yong, moved to Xiazhai (now the north of Weinan, Shaanxi Province). Bai Zhong was once the magistrate of Gongxian County (now gongyi city, Zhengzhou, Henan Province), and was friends with the magistrate of Xinzheng, a neighbor at that time.
