The Songs of the South created a new form of poetry, initiated romanticism, reached a brand-new realm, and had a far-reaching impact on the literary poetry creation of later generations. The Ci and Fu that prevailed among the nobles in the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties directly followed the tradition of "Songs of the South".
