I like reading these rambling books, Shan Hai Jing, since I was a child. What I remember vividly is that Jigong monks punish evil and promote good; White snake is full of water and mountains; Liang Zhu's beautiful love; The graceful figure of the stone beside the Huansha River. What impressed me most was the crazy Jigong. I remember once, he saw a dignitary bullying an old woman by the lotus pond and not letting her be free. Jigong put the old woman's snail in a ditch and said to the lotus pond, "It's falling, falling, falling." He said to the ditch, "Go, go, go." In this way, the water in the lotus pond will be reduced by half and the ditch will never stop. There are many, many such popular stories. Singing "Song of the Duke of Ji" is also widely circulated: shoes are worn out, hats are worn out, and robes are worn out. You laugh at me, he laughs at me, and a fan breaks ... The image of Jigong among the people can be said to be sloppy, and he is also a monk who loves to drink and eat meat. But the people love him very much. I think this is because of his justice and kindness. And the story of the White Snake Empress. A white color can be regarded as a queen by ordinary people, which shows how high she is in the hearts of ordinary people. I think this is because of her beauty and gentleness. Of course, there are Xiaoqing, Stone, etc. Are the embodiment of beauty and kindness.
In the old society, our ancestors may not be rich, may be a little poor and may have been bullied. However, they never gave up their yearning for freedom and a better life, so they were trapped in prison, pursued justice, and fought indomitable against evil forces and feudal ideas. Our ancestors left our descendants not a rich material heritage, but a spirit. It was the touching stories of Jigong and Bai Niangniang that taught us to be human beings and made us love this land in our hometown more.
I think we should continue to carry forward the truth, goodness and beauty and let them thrive in this rich land.
