Sichuan Legion refers to the regiment-level army composed of Sichuan soldiers. Historically, Sichuan Legion played a great role in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, represented by the Battle of Songhu and the Battle of Taierzhuang. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Sichuan, as one of the few provinces not invaded by Japanese invaders, was called the Anti-Japanese Rear Area. According to statistics, during the Anti-Japanese War, Sichuan sent about 3.4 million troops, one in every 17 Sichuanese went to the front, and one in every five in the anti-Japanese army. During the eight-year Anti-Japanese War, officers and men of Sichuan Army traveled all over 13 province, participated in 28 battles, and finally realized the patriotic ambition of the warm-blooded Sichuan Army at the heavy cost of sacrificing more than 650,000 people. In fact, it's not how fierce the Sichuan army is playing. They are not afraid of life and death, but win with life and fill with flesh and blood.
During the Nanjing Defence War, Sichuan Army Division 2 1 Army 145 was responsible for defending Guangde County in Xuancheng, the southern line. 145 division suffered heavy casualties, but still fought for three days and three nights, vowing to live or die with Guangde! At the Battle of Taierzhuang, Sichuan Army122nd Division was ordered to defend tengxian, and finally122nd Division ran out of ammunition. The Japanese army rushed up, and the rest of the Sichuan soldiers sounded grenades, mutually assured destruction with the enemy, and followed the division commander. None of them are prisoners.
