Its important symbol is Modern magazine, 1932 was first published in Shanghai in May, with Shi Zhecun and Du Heng as editors. In the following years, Bian edited Mercury in Peiping (1934), Dai Wangshu edited Modern Poetic Style (1935), 1936, and Dai Wangshu, Bian, Liang and Feng Zhi edited New Poetry magazine.
