1935, Sun Zuoyun published "On Modernist Poetry", which summarized the poetry creation of a large number of young urban poets with similar tendencies who entered the poetry world in the 1930s as "Modernist Poetry". Its important symbol is Modern magazine, 1932 was first published in Shanghai in May, with Shi Zhecun and Du Heng as editors. In the following years, Bian edited Mercury in Peiping (1934), Dai Wangshu edited Modern Poetic Style (1935), 1936, and Dai Wangshu, Bian, Liang and Feng Zhi edited New Poetry magazine.
