Why is poetry characterized by concise language?
Compared with other literary genres, the language of poetry can be said to be the most concise, beautiful and musical language in all literary works. Poets often take pains to choose words carefully, so that poetry has the same rhythm and rhythm as music through the most pithy language. China's classical poems are quite typical examples, such as Wang Wei's "Birds are singing in the moonlight on the riverside" ("Birds are singing in the riverside"), "Moonlight in the pine forest and crystal stones in the stream" ("Autumn Mountain"), Li Bai's "Sailing alone across the sky blue, only the Yangtze River flows" ("Yellow Crane Tower Farewell Meng Haoran to Yangzhou") and Du Fu's "The window contains Xiling".
