China is a country with a very developed poetry. The Book of Songs, China's first poetry collection, is one of the oldest works in world literature. It collected 305 poems from the early Western Zhou Dynasty to the late Spring and Autumn Period. These poems truly and vividly reflect the early life of human beings and shine with beautiful brilliance in the treasure house of world literature.
In the Tang Dynasty, poetry creation was unprecedentedly prosperous. There are about 50 thousand Tang poems that we have preserved now.
