Characteristics of poetry and music
Poetry is a literary genre with concise language, jumping structure, rhythm, highly concentrated reflection of life and expression of thoughts and feelings. From the content, poetry can be divided into lyric poetry and narrative poetry; Formally, it can be divided into metrical poems and free poems, and it can be further distinguished. For example, metrical poems can be divided into metrical poems, quatrains, long and short sentences (words) and so on. The combination of poetry and other art forms can produce horizontal literary genres, such as prose poems and music poems. Poetry was not an independent genre in the early days, but was combined with music and dance. "Preface to Mao Poetry" said: "A poet, where is his ambition, his ambition is in his heart, and his words are poems. Emotion moves in the middle and is shaped by words. Sigh if you don't talk enough. If they are not enough, they will sing forever. If they are not enough, they will dance without a hand. " At the same time, it also shows the close relationship between poetry and emotion. The conciseness of poetry is mainly reflected in two aspects: one is the concentration of images, and the other is the refinement of language. When poetry reflects real life and expresses thoughts and feelings, it is not known for its extensiveness and richness, but for its concentration and reinforcement. Novels and dramas can fully and meticulously express life and emotions by describing the images, actions and inner world of characters in a very concrete, detailed and true way, describing the relationships and contradictions between characters, and the events and details that constitute these conflicts. However, the genre of poetry requires it to capture the most distinctive objects, to concentrate on the concentration, creation and reorganization of images through artistic processing, to concentrate on the expression of "generative" images, to stimulate readers to actively participate in aesthetic re-creation, and to express life and emotions with extremely essential images. It can be said that poetry is about the art of images, and the key link in dealing with images in poetry is to strengthen images.
