John wesley's Theological Contribution

His great contribution to theology is that he put forward an important view of Christian sanctification, which is a process of sanctification. The so-called advanced salvation: preset grace → repentance → justification → rebirth → the road to sanctification → complete sanctification. He put forward the dynamic concepts of grace and expected grace: God's forgiveness always precedes human action.

Wesley: "We worship God differently from pagans and nominal Christians, but with our hearts and truth. The three major teachings of Christianity: original sin, justification by faith and sanctification, are the three levels of Christianity that we must abide by: outside the door, at the threshold and indoors. " (To Thomas J. Churchill, 1746)

Wesley: "This grace is like the front porch of a house. Anyone can come." But if you want to enter the house, you still have to cross the threshold of righteousness. There is still a lot of work to be done to enter the threshold. You have to go through the process of sanctification to live a better life. "john wesley attaches importance to the Holy Spirit as a part of God's grace, so he also attaches importance to the work of the Holy Spirit.
