The Legend of the "First" Peach in Yangshan
According to legend, during the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the shadow of the phoenix fluttered on the east wall of Xicheng. One day, several phoenixes drank the water from Taihu Lake, and it would rain heavily, so the phoenixes had nowhere to hide. Seeing that there was no rain in the northwest, they flew there.
Strange to say, as soon as the phoenix flew, the rain followed, and the phoenix rained all the way down Yangshan. Phoenix is tired, looking at Yangshan, but there is no branch to rest. At the right time, the clouds are surrounded by rain. Although the rain is small, the phoenix is inevitable. Seeing the dark clouds pressing the phoenix, the top of Yangshan is shining.
A dried peach with golden light broke through the dark clouds, carried the phoenix, lured the phoenix forward, and entered a farmhouse. Golden light gathers, and dark clouds drift outside the door. Soon, the dark clouds cleared and the sun came out again.
When the dried peach falls to the ground, it turns into a peach tree, and only one bear fruit, hence the name one.
