Serina Liu's poems are vigorous, tall and straight, and extraordinary. Cao Pi said that "his five-character poems are excellent and wonderful". There are three * * * poems, which are his representative works, and this poem is the second.
This poem seems to be an ode to things, but it is actually an expression of ambition, which is expressed through the firmness of pine trees. The whole poem from the outside to the inside, from here to there, implies lofty, vigorous and refined.
The first two sentences, that is, moving with emotion in a loose and noble attitude, the sound of cold wind makes people wake up. Use "pavilions" to mark the proud posture of pine trees, and use "rustling" to imitate the biting cold wind. The painting is full of sound, concise and vivid. It also sets off the "mountain" with "in the valley", highlighting the pride of the pine tree in the center of the whole poem.
Three or four sentences strengthened the lyrical atmosphere. Moreover, the seemingly unrelated conflict between pine trees and the wind suddenly rises, which scares the listeners and broadens the viewers. The two "harmony" emphasize the intensity of the poet's feelings, while "prosperity" and "gold" show the intensity of conflict and the poet's emotional tendency. The third poem follows the second sentence, and the fourth sentence echoes the first sentence, which is dense and orderly.
Five or six sentences, from the strong wind to first frost, from the firmness of pine branches to the regularity of all seasons, show the harsh environment and the characteristics of pine trees that are cold and never wither. The artistic conception of the poem is particularly lofty, and the style is tragic and lofty. The contrast between pine trees and the environment is more vivid, and the individual value of pine trees is more prominent.
The last two sentences change the sentence pattern and end with a powerful question and answer. From the surface to the inside, from the surface to the depth, the poet looks at the readers from the "slim" and "straight" appearance of pine trees, indicating that pine trees are not afraid of the cold because of their unyielding integrity.
The whole poem is centered on pine trees and written in a concentrated and compact way. Singing songs repeatedly, but not dull and monotonous. The writing is unpretentious and vigorous. It does not pay attention to meticulous description, and is good at going deep into the core of things layer by layer.
This poem is called "To a Brother", but it has no language and brotherhood. When we read it, we felt very affectionate and could resonate with the poet. This is because poets use symbolism and pine trees to symbolize their interests, sentiments and hopes. Natural things have nothing to do with people. However, once the poet injects the landscape trees, wind, frost and lightning with affectionate eyes and collides with some characteristics in nature that are connected with human beings, the spark of dispatching people will erupt. The use of this symbolism is common before and after Qu Yuan's Liu Zhen Fu, which has become one of the traditional features of China's classical poetry.
If Serina Liu expresses his inner feelings directly, it is easy to show them directly, so he hints at his feelings with the nobility of pine trees to encourage himself and his younger brother. Although the whole poem is about brotherhood, its meaning is more palatable.
Extended reading: literature of characters' achievements
Serina Liu's works are vigorous and powerful, with steep artistic conception and high style. Together with RoyceWong, it is called "Liu Wang". In Qing Dynasty, Liu Xizai said that "public spirit wins, public propaganda wins" (An Introduction to Art and Poetry), which revealed their respective strengths through comparison.
The world called him and Cao Zhi "Cao Liu" together, also from the perspective of Qi. The three poems "To My Brother" reflect his style, express the poet's ambition, and have a sad, generous and refined spirit. Among them, the second song: "The pavilion is loose on the mountain, and the rustling valley is caressed." When the wind is strong, pine branches are strong. First frost is miserable and always right at the end of the year. "Don't you feel cold? Pine and cypress are natural. " Especially praised.
However, the weakness of Serina Liu's creation is that his rhetoric is not rich enough, so Zhong Rong said in his poems that he was "too literary and polished to hate less". He and Wang Neng each have a great Xia Fu, and the difference in literary talent is obvious. Facing the same society and rough life, he mostly expressed personal indignation, so his works were always full of generosity and openness. As he himself said, the stricter the wind and frost force, the more it can reflect the firmness and straightness of pines and cypresses. This spirit and temperament created the elegant and agile style of Serina Liu's poems.
However, Serina Liu's literary attainments are extraordinary, especially five-character poems, of which only 15 exist. In the Collection of Poetry Appreciation of the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties, his poems were evaluated as: "It is difficult to think round, and with its unique freshness and rigidity, it has won people's appreciation. Not only is it beautiful in this world, but the situation is always new and can set an example for the future. " Most of his poems are about magnificent mountains and rivers, lyrical about scenery and rewarding feelings for a few. The poem "To Xu Gan" was evaluated as a "five-character epigram" by Zhong Rong. There are three poems in A Gift for My Brother, and the second one is the best of the three. The poem reads: "The pavilion is loose on the mountain, and the valley is full of tricks. How strong is the wind? How strong is the pine tree? " First frost is miserable and always right at the end of the year. Is it cold? Pines and cypresses are natural. "Zhong Rong's Preface to Poetry said:" Cao Gong and his son are kind and gentle; Ping Yuanjun's younger brother is Wendong, and Serina Liu and RoyceWong are his wings. "Visible, Serina Liu's literary creation is a great contribution.
His most famous works include Lu Du Fu, Li Yangshan Fu, Sui Zhi Fu, Gua Fu, Da Shu Fu and Qing Si Fu. His prose style is unique, "actively propagating and proofreading the world, with more than a thousand poems" and "Wen Xin Diao Long Zhu". Instead of whitewashing the secular, he described the local customs and beautiful natural scenery of his hometown with fresh style, skillful skills and simple and accurate language, so as to make the past serve the present. Satire on current events and lyrical images have realized the transformation of the content of Han Fu from the court to the society and from the emperor to the common people. The length changed from a long macro article to a short summary, which created a precedent for the later literary development.
