Artistic feature

Writing structure

The whole poem is divided into three parts.

The first part is the four lines of fine print on the right front of the poem, which is an inscription describing the reasons for writing the poem. The second part consists of three sections, which vividly depicts the disastrous northern environment and sets off the deep sorrow of the northern people for the natural environment. The first section consists of five levels, describing the sadness in the north. In the author's pen, the sorrow in the north is not only the terrible environment, but also the sorrow of people under the long-term war and the Japanese invaders. With the indifference and horror of the big environment, the author writes about the plight of people who are struggling extremely hard in this land. In the second section, the rut on a dry river shows the source of people's longing for life. Groups of geese fled to the south and wrote about people's displacement. The third section is Errenzhuan, which uses the Yellow River to write about the endless disasters and misfortunes suffered by the north.

The third part highlights the inner meaning of poetry. The poet wrote in this sadness, praising the great vitality of this land. Here, the author tells about the strength of this land and the indomitable fighting spirit of people who have never been humiliated from ancient vast expanse. He expressed his firm belief that the north will never perish and the people will win.

Writing characteristics

As one of Ai Qing's representative poems, The North has its outstanding artistic features.

The first is the prose brushwork. As a modern poem, the whole poem does not rely on the external rhythm to win, but uses the language of natural escape to express the inner feelings with the heavy and slow rhythm. Therefore, the inner emotional rhythm of poetry, such as hammering, expresses the author's deep affection. Moreover, the circulated words vividly show the author's sad mood and have quite touching effects.

Followed by a sense of painting and a series of image expressions. The whole poem uses the images of the north with internal relations, while desert wind, desert Yuan Ye, lonely pedestrians, loaded donkeys, dry rivers, geese and so on. Paint a picture of the north with dim colors, which is "the sorrow of the north". They beat in front of readers one by one, which strongly shocked their hearts. In fact, these images are the visualization of the author's sad feelings towards the northern countries. With the comprehensive effect of color, light and shape, they make us feel like touching the land in the north and let readers feel the sensitive heart of the author.

Finally, because the author describes the north with a deep style and a desolate and vast scene, the image of the poem is gloomy, but it gives people a strong feeling.
