Appreciation of Zhu Ziqing's Poems for Friends

Give it to a friend

Author: Zhu Ziqing

Your hands are like torches,

Your eyes are like waves,

Your words are like stones,

How could I forget?

You flew over Dongting Lake,

You flew over the Yangtze River;

You want to build a red paradise on the ground!

The ground is covered with thorns,

There are foxes and rabbits on the ground.

There are walkers on the ground;

You will fight for a sharp knife,

A sharp knife went through the thorn!

You will roar like a lion,

Foxes and rabbits are invincible!

You will be shocked by the spring thunder,

Wake the walkers.

I like watching you ride a horse,

Running in the dust—

After a while,

Disappear!

I like to see your crutches,

That iron cane;

It has color and weight,

There's a jingle!

I think you are a gust of wind,

Blow down the unshakable golden palace!

Golden Palace!

Whoo!

One morning last summer, I met you:

How haggard are you?

Your eyes are still dry,

Your hair is too long!

But the heat in your blood is doubled!

I tossed and turned in the plaster,

It seems to be baked! ——

You're like a smoking cigar,

You're like brandy,

You're like a red pepper,

How can I forget you?
