First, "Peacock Flying Southeast"
Peacock flies southeast, originally written by Jiao Zhongqing's wife, was named because the first sentence of the poem was "Birds fly southeast and wander five miles away". The whole poem has more than 350 sentences, 1700 words. Mainly tells the story of Jiao Zhongqing and Liu Lanzhi being forced to separate and double suicide. Through the love tragedy of Liu Lanzhi and Jiao Zhongqing, a loving couple, they accused the feudal ethics, parental rule and the evil of the concept of the gate, and expressed the reasonable wishes of young men and women for their marriage and love.
Liu Lanzhi, the heroine, is faithful to love and has an uncompromising struggle against feudal forces and feudal ethics, which makes her a rebellious female image in the history of literature and is praised by young men and women in later generations.
Second, Mulan Ci
Mulan Poetry is a long narrative folk song in northern China during the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and it is also a Yuefu poem. It tells the story of Mulan disguised as a man, joined the army instead of her father, fought in the battlefield, returned to the DPRK in triumph, made meritorious deeds, and resigned and returned to China, which is full of legend. Enthusiastically praised the women's brave and kind quality, the enthusiasm for defending the country and the fearless spirit.
The main features of Yuefu poems:
First, the title of the poem
The titles of Yuefu poems are different from those of ordinary poems. It turns out that it is not only the title of the lyrics, but also the sound spectrum of the lyrics. It is the title of a vocal music song, which is somewhat similar to the later epigraph. Therefore, the title of Yuefu has obvious musical characteristics.
There is also a special phenomenon in Yuefu poems, many of which are derived from the old style. For example, Autumn Dew is an old China song, and the first sentence of Cao Cao's Autumn Dew Trip is "Twenty in Han Dynasty", so Cao Zhi changed Autumn Dew Trip to "Only in Han Dynasty". The first sentence of Shang Mo Sang in Han Dynasty is "the southeast corner of sunrise", and Lu Ji is entitled "Walking in the southeast corner of sunrise". Wait, the list goes on.
Second, the relationship between poem title and content.
The relationship between the title and content of Yuefu poems is also very special. It can be roughly divided into three situations:
1, the title of the poem is consistent with the content, such as "The Battle of the South of the City" about war; "Into the wine" is about drinking; A Journey to the Orphan tells about the suffering of orphans. "A woman's illness" is like the miserable situation of a sick woman. Most of the early Yuefu poems, especially Yuefu poems, are like this.
2. The title of the poem does not match the content, but it still keeps a certain connection with this poem or ancient poem.
The title of the poem is not only inconsistent with the content, but also has nothing to do with this poem or this ancient poem.
However, only a few Yuefu poems are completely divorced from their contents, and more Yuefu poems are internally related to their contents. On the other hand, however, this feature restricts the selection of poets. Therefore, in the Tang Dynasty, a large number of new Yuefu poems appeared, which broke this restriction and used Yuefu poems to reflect the contemporary social reality.
Three. Form and structure
Yuefu poems have various forms, ranging from two characters, three characters, four characters, five characters, six characters to seven characters and eight characters, including neat neat neat poems and intricate miscellaneous poems. There is no limit to the length, and the longest "Peacock Flying Southeast" has more than 350 sentences; There are only four short sentences. There are still two or three sentences. Rhyme is also flexible: some sentences rhyme, some sentences rhyme alternately, and some two or three sentences rhyme alternately. In the Tang dynasty, the law was prevalent, and it was also used to write Yuefu poems.
Fourth, the content style
As a genre of poetry, the content of Yuefu poetry is closely related to real life, especially the folk songs in Yuefu, which reflect the vast social reality, expose the contradictions and conflicts within feudal society and have rich ideological content. It is also one of the most commonly used poetic styles for later poets to reflect social life. Poets in the Tang Dynasty often hold the banner of "New Yuefu" when they create a large number of poems attacking current politics. The style of Yuefu poetry is simple and natural, and the language does not avoid vulgarity.
