Turning to lotus means that in the poet's mind, plums are generally pure white, and occasionally there will be a light red like peaches and apricots. This is the herd mentality that Hongmei deliberately dresses up because of "fear" and "fear". Therefore, the word "so" shows that the reason why Hongmei is so is that she has a sense of compulsion, which is for the sake of harmony and vulgarity.
