After dinner, as night falls, fireflies appear in droves with lanterns, like stars and rain all over the sky, like dreaming. Children from the city are curiously chasing the glittering elves in the open fields. The adults sat chatting in the yard, as if they were back to the summer when grandma shook her cattail leaf fan to enjoy the cool.
A tall and lush ginkgo tree is enough to precipitate the years of Qili Township. Sitting on the floor under the tree, I feel the long-lost Shan Ye and the distant wind. After a short rest, autumn is still full, and I wander around, with small bridges and flowing water and white walls and tiles in Xiangyun Pavilion.
Near the Shi Ying Mountain at an altitude of11m, there is a homestay-Xiangyun Pavilion surrounded by countryside and green trees. This is a country villa converted from a single-family rammed earth wall house. Each room has a separate bathroom and shower room, and the bedding is configured according to the standard of star-rated hotels. Such hardware facilities are very prominent in the surrounding farmhouses.
The simple and elegant architecture takes yellow as the main color of the building, forming a soothing body rhythm. The choice of this color is not random, but the yellow mud color that once belonged to the earth and the nostalgic color of the villagers in Qili. Looking up, the roof tiles on the eaves are still full of wind and frost, but they just complement the yellow mud walls. The hostess of the B&B told us a story. They exchanged new tiles for old ones, just to create a nostalgic country style, and to repair the old ones, just to preserve this precious sense of history.
The maintenance and renovation of old houses is far more time-consuming and laborious than that of new houses. In order to transform this former rural supply and marketing cooperative, a lot of money needs to be invested in moisture prevention, dehumidification and lighting, but the hostess has never considered tearing it down and rebuilding it. "Now there are fewer and fewer old houses, and the value of well-preserved old houses is prominent." With such a heart to protect rural construction, Xiangyun Pavilion shows the unique flavor of the countryside to the greatest extent in design-ancient wooden tables, plush chairs, revolutionary slogans on the wall, sun-dried corn, hats hanging on the wall and stone mills in the yard can all arouse people's deep memories.
Square patios, dripping eaves, gardens full of orchids, wooden lattice windows, and spotted swallows nesting in the living room. The steel-blue "helmet" is particularly eye-catching, and the inverted triangular tail is tilted high. Isn't this the host's way of entertaining guests? "I drank the wine purposefully and took the heart of Le Yan guests"? The master carefully protected the swallow nest in the living room, just like protecting the grass and trees in the countryside, and moved the vibrant nature into the home.
Sitting on the rattan chair on the terrace on the second floor, looking around, it is an idyllic scenery. In midsummer, melons and fruits such as loofah and pumpkin hang low. They have different shapes and colors. They are beautiful. Guests can take a walk along the promenade under the shade of melons and fruits, or pick fresh vegetables in the vegetable field as the last activity before returning.
Compared with the houses in the city, the countryside endows Xiangyun Pavilion with the most natural pastoral landscape. The rural vegetation with changing seasons is wrapped by the mellow life breath of cultivated fireworks slowly stewing. They are moved into the house by their owners in various ways, or their colors, shapes or spirits are adopted. It is the most convenient way to use local materials and waste. Amazingly, this antique just blends in with the simple and modern furniture in the room, showing a mixed aesthetic feeling.
Half of the hand-picked wild flowers are given to the guests as a gift, and the other half are put in vases in the bedroom. Even if the dead branches in winter are incomplete and withered, they can be worthy of a pot of hot wine. This is the most natural way of life in the countryside.
Whether it's by the mountains or by the waters, workers have their own delicacies. What children miss most is the smell of their mother. The dishes in Xiangyun Pavilion are all home-cooked dishes, but because the dishes in Qilishan are fresh and sweet, simple meals are more memorable.
