[Edit this paragraph] Overview
Crescent school: an important school of poetry in the history of modern new poetry, influenced by Tagore's Crescent Collection. This school of poetry is generally divided into two periods with 1927 as the boundary. The early stage began in the spring of 1926, supplemented by Beijing Morning Post? Poetry magazine is the front, and its main members are Wen Yiduo, Xu Zhimo, Zhu Xiang, Rao Mengkan, Sun Dayu and Liu. They are dissatisfied with the style of "liberal poets" who ignored the art of poetry after the May Fourth Movement, advocate new metrical poetry, advocate "rational emotional control", and oppose the promiscuity and prosaic tendency of poetry. From theory to practice, they made a serious exploration of the new poetic meter. Wen Yiduo put forward the famous thought of "three beauties" in his poetic meter, namely, "the beauty of music (the beauty of syllables), the beauty of painting (the beauty of words) and the beauty of architecture (the symmetry of sections and the neatness of sentences). It was put forward in view of the scattered form of new poetry at that time. This proposition laid the theoretical foundation of the new metrical school and made some contributions to the development of new poetry. Therefore, the crescent school is also known as the "new metrical poetry school". The crescent school corrected the weakness of the early poetry creation which was too informal, and also made the new poetry enter the period of independent creation. /kloc-in the spring of 0/927, Hu Shi, Xu Zhimo, Wen Yiduo, Liang Shiqiu and others founded Crescent Bookstore, and the monthly magazine Crescent was founded the following year. The main activities of the "Crescent School" moved to Shanghai, which was later the Crescent School. Its main positions are New Moon and Poetry, which were founded in 1930. The new members are Chen, Fang and Bian. In the later period, the Crescent School put forward the principles of "health" and "dignity", adhered to the position of "pure poetry" which was super-utilitarian, self-expression and aristocratic, and emphasized "purity of essence, thoroughness of technique and rigor of meter". However, the artistic expression and lyricism of poetry are close to modernist schools.
The beauty of music in the "three beauties" means that each section of the new moon poem is different, just like music. Architectural beauty means that the format of poetry is like architecture. The beauty of painting is that every paragraph of the crescent poem is a plot that can be drawn.
[Edit this paragraph] Faction introduction
Poetry publishing school and crescent school belong to the same school, so it is difficult to distinguish them. Poetry Magazine was published in Beijing Morning Post in 15, while New Moon was held in Shanghai in 17. Sun Dayu, Rao Mengkan, Chen, Lin, Bian, Liu, Jian Xian 'ai, Shen Congwen and Sun Yutang made great contributions to the Crescent School. And Fang and his aunt Fang Lingru. Chen's Selected Poems of the New Moon commented on Sun Dayu as follows: "Sonnets are the most rigorous poetic style in meter. In rhythm, it needs to rhyme. In the connection of key and lock, the closest connection means that it must also follow the harmonious progress. Sun Dayu's three poems about coming up have given us more hope of success in trying to write them up. Because he got the evidence of manipulating abundance from using foreign rules. "
[Edit this paragraph] Poetry appreciation
Here's a quote from Sun Dayu, entitled "Old saying":
Ever since I put on a Yun Lan, leaned in a dark room, put on a dazzling porch crown, and looked around the silent mountains of Wanfeng. I don't know how many years later, your lower bound began to haunt my feet-since then, I have been immersed in the corner of the sky day and night, and the front corner has been used as writing paper, drafting the grave of the bottom of nature, and the record of life (registering you at the end of your childhood, being young and promising until you succeed) is the most difficult to do. It's amazing that Sun Dayu can dance with chains and dance so freely.
I love him, too. There is a poem by Xu Zhimo called "Evocation":
You went, you went, Zhimo, the fog in the daytime,
Cover you, go that way,
Between Yueming and Xing Zi,
A distance that will never come again.
No, I didn't. I saw you, in the water in front of the wind.
Covered with a faint morning sun,
Vehicles passing through clouds,
Sudden appearance, but also abrupt avoidance.
Come back, a million bright, burning deep blue,
This place is horribly dark,
The cold wind there is too strong.
Are you used to the heavy silence? ……
Although these two poems have been deeply contaminated with western culture, after reading them, I vaguely remembered Chu Ci. The second song is especially like "Evocation of Soul" and "Big Trick", which shows what kind of Chinese soul Sun Dayu has. But he seems to have a deep study of astronomy and a deep hobby. Therefore, he has an extremely broad view of the universe and endless view of time, which is not found in China's poetry circles. "Millions of brilliant, burning deep blue, the place is horribly black, where the cold wind is too strong and there is a heavy silence. Are you used to it? " It is chilling to read. Sun Dayu also wrote a poem as long as 1000, entitled "My Portrait". Chen commented: "This is an exquisite and amazing long poem, and it is an unforgettable creation in new poetry in recent years. He has the concept of magnanimity, which reveals a complicated consciousness of modern people from his close impression of the whole city of new york. New words, new imagination, and that majestic spirit are all surprising. " Between Zhu Xiang and Sun Dayu is Rao Mengkan. Chen called it "the same-referring to Wen Yiduo-carefully scrutinizing skills with a disapproving attitude and writing light poems with simple images." Also known as "clear as water, printed with clear sky."
Try the song "His Call":
Once I was in the poplar forest, I heard a kind call; That's in the month
The light looked at Weng Zhong, and Weng Zhongzheng looked at me.
When I couldn't hear the call any more, I was taken aback. I looked around-Weng Zhong was just lost in the moonlight, and the moonlight was only cold to me.
Laugh.
Chen, Fang and Long are rising stars of the Crescent School, and they can also be said to be orthodox new poets who directly inherit Xu Zhimo and Wen Yiduo. Chen 193 1 published Poems of Dreamers, among which there are many excellent works. He once wrote a poem himself: "We enjoy purity and purity. We don't think writing poetry is the easiest thing to do in all arts. It has norms, just like horses need reins and saddles, although there are also moments of inspiration that stir the poet's heart. For example, the wind inadvertently reveals harmonious music in the reed pipe, which is not always expected. " ..... "Purity and purity are the minimum requirements of the work, and the embodiment of that spirit depends on the ingenious creation of the craftsman and the transmission of his soul. In his project, peaceful thinking and complete imagination are needed, which is a process of thinking or emotion ... so poetry should put the most appropriate, adaptive and indispensable words in the appropriate position. Its tone, even its air, must be in harmony with the mood of the poem. " He added: "We are almost in the same direction ... attitude, advocating the essence of honesty, cautious skills and strict rules."
Solemnity is our confidence. "These words represent the thoughts of every crescent poet. There are about 50 poems in The Dreamer's Poetry Collection, the first one is pure and capitalized.
Now take the song Swallow as an example:
I love the geese in autumn, and I never tire of it all night.
(Like a promise, like a promise)
Screaming and flying away.
Never asked about his songs,
On which cloud?
Sing and fly, dark sky, light wings.
I'd rather be a wild goose,
Everything makes you forget-
When I mention it, when I think: not hate, not joy.
Chen said that Fang's poems are "light and clever, and so elusive and incredible". The Wanderer and the Sound of the Sea have their own special styles, but they are gentle in the emergency training. "Well, let's look at his youzi.
Every night I lie in bed, and a Tianhe flows in my dream. There are boats in the river, and there are lights on the boats.
I shouted to the boatman:
"Shake the wanderer across the river!"
When I opened my eyes at dawn, the sun climbed higher than the top of the tree. Old Di opened the door to wake me up, and I sent it myself.
Laugh:
It doesn't matter if you don't come.
Chen Hefang also wrote a long poem "Regret", which was printed as a separate book and circulated for some time. His poetry is passionate, skillful and wonderful, and it can be regarded as a masterpiece of new poetry. Fang Lingru and Lin are two female poets. There are few square poems, so it is difficult to criticize them. Lin has a poem "Laughter", which is extremely delicate and worthy of being written by a poetess:
It's her eyes, lips and the vortex of her lips that are laughing.
As beautiful as dew,
A bright smile.
Hiding in the shining shell teeth.
That is laughter-God's smile, beautiful smile: the reflection of water, the light song of the wind.
Laughing is her loose curly hair, scattered in the ear.
Soft as a flower shadow,
Itchy sweetness
Into your heart.
That's a smile-a smile in a poem, a smile in a painting: traces of clouds, soft waves of waves.
Bian has a poem "Peninsula", which seems to be the representative of his style:
The peninsula is the delicate hand of the mainland, pointing to the three sacred mountains on the sea.
There is a small building. Surrounded by water on three sides,
What can be seen but not drunk.
A spring is rushing to the heart of the palace.
People are still tracking to the door.
Last night, a little gem,
This is what you see.
Cover the sea with curtains,
Afraid of tourists looking out of the sail again.
Cang Kejia is a poet from a peasant family. His works are full of local flavor and he is famous for his bitter songs. People call him Meng Jiao and Jia Dao in the new poetry circle.
Now look at his insomnia:
A living ship.
They are all moored in the sleeping harbor, the wind dies of old age from the sea at night, and the snoring microwave is breathing quietly.
I am the only one still falling on the waves of the night, and the storm surge is on the canvas.
Heart, can't throw down the anchor,
The rope of thought is getting longer and longer.
Liu's "The Last Resolute" is a poem about love, threatening (or pleading) a girl who doesn't specialize in love and is good at change with suicide. Although it is an ordinary topic, it is quite unique. He regards the success of love as the red of fate, and the one who is lovelorn is black. The first sentence of this poem says: "Today, I know the color of fate-lovely girl, please listen carefully;" Don't take my news for granted! -Today I want to express this final determination. " The third paragraph says: "that blood color is the luster of happiness at the end of life;" -Lovely girl, please help me identify it. Don't say it's none of your business ... that black is the tragic plot of life. The first section of Yan Xian 'ai's "Morning Tour in Longtan Rain" wrote: "The tourists are cold and chilly, and there are no clouds in the air. Draw infinite haze in the sky, and the green crow flies over the cool sea and sky. " The second paragraph: "This forest valley reflects the majestic greatness, the long donkey hiss and the flowing spring water, whistling alternately in the lonely empty mountain, and pear blossoms are scattered all over the mountain." The third section: "Oh ... the mountain road is full of spring, and the drizzle that fascinates the pound falls one after another, and the shadow of jade is woven on the far peak. be like
The Buddha returned to my hometown once again. "Judging from these three paragraphs, Jane's rhyme violates the habit of China's poetry, that is, the first sentence and the fourth sentence; The second sentence and the third sentence are tied together. Xu Zhimo often writes such poems. He learned them from Xu. There is another Sun Yutang in the Crescent School who is the most talented and knowledgeable. On the eve of the Anti-Japanese War, he published a long poem BMW in the literary edition of Tianjin Ta Kung Pao, with more than 800 lines. It describes that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty appointed Li Guangli as commander-in-chief and led more than 100,000 troops to explore the Great Bay. Attacking Ershicheng, the capital of Dawan, killing its king Hu Wuwidowed, and getting the story of more than ten so-called "BMW" horses returning to Han soil. This poem has beautiful rhetoric, rigorous structure, sonorous syllables and rich changes. It can be said that it is the first masterpiece of the new poetry circle since the long poem, and it is also a brilliant contribution to the new poetry circle. Sun Yutang can be said to be a member of the crescent school! From the perspective of modern people, it can be said that it is political for Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty to sacrifice so many human resources to strive for BMW, just for national defense. Because Korea confronted Xiongnu at that time, Xiongnu was dominated by cavalry, while Han was mostly an infantry, step by step. Of course, he resisted. However, Li Ling was a warrior in the Han Dynasty, leading 5,000 infantry through the customs. Although he won many battles, he was finally surrounded by the Xiongnu Khan's army, with 5 thousand infantry and exhausted. Li Ling was forced to surrender. In view of the importance of desert cavalry, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty also wanted to train cavalry. If you want to train cavalry, you must have good horses. It is said that there is a bloody pony in Dawan country, and it has sent envoys to ask for gifts many times. King Khufu refused all the time, adding insult to injury to Ambassador China. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was very angry, so he trained an army and used his army to seize it. However, Emperor Wu's request for BMW may have another purpose. It is "seeking immortality". According to legend, if you want to live forever, you must ride a horse. Therefore, after the Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty got the BMW of Dawanguo, he personally wrote two Tianma songs, and the second song was also called "Xiji Tianma Song". In that song, there is "Tianma has come, gone and died in Kunlun." "Tianma comes, the medium of the dragon, and you can visit Yutai." This song is now included in the song of ritual and music sacrifice in Han Dynasty. It can be seen that this matter is not entirely political, but religious. Song Yangyi had seven laws of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, one of which was about Emperor Wu's pursuit of longevity. Among them, there are two clouds: "Make efforts to cross the West Sea to seek dragon seeds, and keep your mouth shut to eat horse liver", which can express the thoughts of Emperor Wu.
Sun Yutang's long poem "BMW" appeared just before the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War. People were too excited to ask about literature, so no one paid attention to it. Besides, if Sun Yutang said that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was seeking immortals by seeking heavenly horses, it would certainly be superstitious. Left-wing literati who advocated breaking national boundaries said that Emperor Wu was thinking about national defense and was also reactionary. So, Sun Shi just boasted about the martial arts of Emperor Wu, and as a result, he wasted people and money on Emperor Wu, only got a dozen horses and condemned a few words. However, that kind of condemnation is an understatement and not easy to teach. Shen Congwen is a novelist, but his poems only express the soul and have inhuman language every time. Ode is a simple and good poem, with the theme of savages' innocence, impudence, desire and praise for women's bodies. Untitled again:
Sister, your eyes can make people happy, and my heart is attached to you, which is older than the sheep around the woman who looks at them.
Real.
Sweat is flowing on my face in vain. I am a person who is tired of walking. You are a Sophora japonica with green branches and leaves, which can let me rest.
I am like a leaf leaving the branch, exposed to the sun and wind, half dead, but your lips can moisten it, and so can your neck.
hum ...
Reading these poems reminds people of the song style in the Old Testament. The author doesn't know western languages, but the Europeanization of his writing is rare, and his special genius is really admirable.
There are also Liang Zhen, Yu Gang, Shen Zumou, and later poets Yang Zihui and others, all of whom have works with extremely strict meter, but they are not so well quoted now.
[Edit this paragraph] The difference between Crescent School and Crescent Poetry Society
Crescent Poetry Club is an interactive group with the theme of poetry creation and academic exchange, focusing on the exchange of new poetry, taking into account classical poetry and other beautiful styles. The name of the poetry club comes from the crescent school, which is an important school of new poetry. It not only hopes to inherit the legacy of great poets such as Wen Yiduo, Xu Zhimo, Zhu Xiang, Rao Mengkan, Sun Dayu, Liu and Long, but also refers to the meaning of "new moon" symbolizing rising, rebirth, happiness, auspiciousness, first light and new times.
Although the name of Crescent Poetry Society is related to Crescent School, it does not focus on Crescent School. Crescent Poetry Society pays attention to the expression of soul and the interpretation of beauty. The Crescent Poetry Society believes that real poetry comes from the soul, and poetry is to speak with the soul and then touch the soul. In addition, Crescent Poetry Society pays more attention to the popularization of poetry, hoping that poetry can be close to every friend who loves life. Crescent Poetry Society proposed that if only poets can write, taste and discuss poetry, then the literary form of poetry is too narrow, and real poetry should be inclusive. Crescent Poetry Society adheres to the communication purpose of "Crescent Moon is harmonious, progressive and novel" and adheres to its unique creative pursuit-interpreting the poetic life of ordinary people in the name of poetry.
