Miao drum and the origin of Tibetan festivals

The origin of the drum and Tibetan Festival is recorded in the Miao classic "Miao Ancient Songs". It is said that Jiang Yang, the ancestor of mankind, celebrated the Drum and Tibetan Festival to worship the butterfly mother who created the world. Legend has it that mother butterfly was born in maple, so Miao people worship maple. Because our ancestors' hometown is in the heart of maple, the wooden drum made of maple has become the resting place of ancestors, and ancestor worship has become a sacrificial drum. The highest gods of Miao nationality are ancestor, ancestor of life, maple and butterfly mother. Drums and Tibetan festivals are to worship God Maple and Mother Butterfly.

Drum and Tibetan Festival, also called Drum Festival, is a grand ceremony for Miao ancestors to worship their ancestors, commonly known as "eating drums and Tibetan". The drum-and-Tibetan Festival existed in the ancient Sanmiao country before the Qin and Xia Dynasties. The written record of Miao people eating dirty in China's ancient books began in Qing Dynasty. The Miao Drum and Tibetan Festival is mainly distributed in Miao villages in 9 towns of Leishan County and some Miao villages in Rongjiang County.
