Famous ancient poems describing big trees include "Nanxuan Pine" by the poet Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty, "A Row of Ancient Cypresses" by Du Fu, and "The Big Tree" by Yuan Mu of the Qing Dynasty.
(1) "Nanxuan Pine". "Nanxuan Song" was written by Li Bai, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. The poem says: "There is a solitary pine in the south pavilion, and the leaves of the cypress tree are flowing freely. When the breeze is not idle, it is cool all day long. The ancient moss is green in the shade, and the color is dyed with the autumn smoke. How can it soar into the sky, thousands of feet up?" The poem opens with "There is a solitary pine in the southern pavilion, and the leaves are spreading out" uses narrative techniques to depict a scene of vigorous and straight pine trees with dense branches and leaves, heads raised to the sky. Then, the poet writes that the pine trees are lush and leafy, full of vitality and evergreen all year round, creating an image of lush, green, simple and noble pine trees. This poem uses a lone pine outside the window in the south to describe itself and express feelings through objects. It writes about the unrestrained, noble, tenacious and upright character of the lone pine, and praises the lone pine "soaring into the sky", showing the poet's upright and noble character.
(2) "The Journey of Ancient Cypresses". "A Walk on Ancient Cypresses" is a work by Du Fu, a poet from the Tang Dynasty. The poem says: "There are ancient cypresses in front of the Kongming Temple. They are as old as bronze and have roots as stone. The pale bark is raining forty, and the dark color is two thousand feet high. The emperor and his ministers have met with the times, and the trees are still cherished by people. The clouds bring the air to Wu Gorge. It's a long day, and the moon is cold and the snow-capped mountains are white. I recall that yesterday, I walked around the east side of Jinting. It is the power of God, the cause of good fortune. The building is like a beam, and the mountains are heavy. If you don't reveal the article, who can save the ants? . People with lofty ideals should not complain: it is difficult to use ancient materials." This poem is a work that praises objects and expresses feelings. The author uses ancient cypresses to sing about his own feelings. Each sentence describes the cypress and each sentence is a metaphor for people. The words are in the cypress, but the meaning is in the people. The first eight lines and sixteen lines of the poem express the poet's admiration for Zhuge Liang by praising the towering trees and ancient cypresses, and express his ideal of serving the court like Zhuge Wuhou. The last four couplets and eight sentences express one's heart directly on the basis of the beauty of the music, closely connecting the ancient cypress with oneself. Every sentence is written about the ancient cypress, and every sentence is written about oneself, vividly expressing the poet's talent and calamity. Used with indignation.
(3) "Big Tree". "Big Tree" was written by Yuan Mu in the Qing Dynasty. The poem says: "The branches are high and frost is blowing from the sky, and the shade house is always cool in summer. Leaves fall across thousands of acres of fields, and flowers bloom that have been used as incense for six dynasties. It is difficult to use materials unless it is a great craftsman. Those who are willing to live in the deep mountains will live longer. Someone asked the name of a strange tree, and it was said to be "Lao Gantang of the South Country." This poem is a poem about an object, that is, an ancient Tangli tree has lush branches. When the leaves fall, the leaves can cover the field. When the flowers bloom, the fragrance of the flowers fills the field. This shows how big and strange the tree is.
