Today is the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. There is an important festival, which is the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Reunion Festival, is a traditional cultural festival among many ethnic groups in China and East Asian countries. The Mid-Autumn Festival is the night of the full moon. On this day, you can have a lively reunion dinner and moon cakes with your family. Speaking of mooncakes, they are a favorite traditional festival food of the Han people. Mooncakes come in many flavors, colors and styles and are a must-eat on the Mid-Autumn Festival. In addition to these, you can also enjoy the moon and feel homesick with your family! This Mid-Autumn Festival, my parents and I went to have a reunion dinner.
In the morning, my parents and I got up early because we were going to our aunt’s house for a reunion dinner. After a long time, I finally arrived at my aunt's house. As soon as the door opened, Xiaobai hurried over to "greet" us. My aunt and sister were also very happy and said hello to us. We visited our aunt's new home, which was very beautiful. At noon, my aunt invited us to the restaurant to have dinner.
The whole afternoon passed like this, and in the evening, we finally started to have New Year’s Eve dinner. After a while, several dishes were immediately cooked. Among them, one of my favorite dishes is the "spicy chicken" fried by my father. Of course, the thing that caught my eye the most in this dish was the red pepper. I think these peppers symbolize prosperity in later life. In addition to this dish, "Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs" and "Griddle Rabbit" are also delicious. After eating the main course, mooncakes are of course indispensable. Egg yolk flavor, ham flavor, mung bean flavor... We were eating moon cakes under the bright moonlight and admiring the moon. It was so comfortable!
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival of the Chinese nation, which symbolizes reunion and peace.
The phrase "I miss my loved ones even more during the festive season" may be the best portrayal of the Mid-Autumn Festival!
