This is a poem that praises Liu Bang by describing the Hongmen Banquet. Gong Mowu is the scarf dance of later generations. "Book of Song·Yue Zhiyi": "Also in the early Jin Dynasty, there was cup_ dance, Gongmo dance? Gongmo dance, today's scarf dance." "Yuefu Poetry Collection·Dance Songs and Songs III·Jin Dance Song": ""Tang "Shu Yue Zhi" says: "Gong Mo Wu", Jin and Song Dynasties called it "Jin Wu". It says: Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty and Xiang Ji met at Hongmen, Xiang Zhuang danced with the sword, and Xiang Bo also danced. , separated it with his sleeve, and said to Zhuang Yun: "Gong Mo." "The ancients called each other "Gong" and said, "Don't harm the king of Han. The Han people are virtuous, so they dance with scarves to resemble the legacy of Xiang Bo's sleeves." This dance performs the story of Xiang Bo's protection of Liu Bang at the Hongmen Banquet.
As mentioned in the preface of the poem, "Gong Mo Dance Song" was originally a song praising Xiang Bo for protecting Liu Bang at the Hongmen Banquet. The poet intended to renovate and change an old title into a new content praising Liu Bang.
The beginning of this poem is extraordinary, with six consecutive sentences laying out the tense atmosphere of the Hongmen Banquet, followed by Fan Zengxian and Xiangzhuang's sword dance to continue to exaggerate Liu Bang's predicament. The last eight sentences do not directly describe Liu Bang's words and deeds, but imitate Fan Kuai's tone to trace Liu Bang's deeds, and confidently put forward the proposition that "the king of Han needs the seal of Qin today". The strong tone and majestic momentum reflect Liu Bang's heroic deeds.
"Gong Mo Dance Song" takes the "Hongmen Banquet" described in "Historical Records of Xiang Yu" as its theme. The poet gave full play to his poetic imagination and carried out unique artistic recreation. The poem focuses on depicting Fan Kuai's heroic and fearless behavior of "barging on the banquet", angrily scolding Xiang Yu, and protecting Liu Bang from danger, and successfully created the image of a brave, loyal and angry hero. The first half of the chapter describes the tall and spacious banquet hall, the luxurious and rough banquet, Xiang Yu's power and indecisiveness, and Fan Zeng's anxious expression during his three liftings. It can be described as vivid and colorful, with vivid characters, realistic scenes, magnificent scenes, and tense atmosphere. The brushstrokes are thick and powerful, resembling a giant oil painting drawn with a poetic brush.
