"Two Poems" Tang Du Fu
It's late in the day and beautiful in the mountains, and flowers and plants are fragrant in the spring breeze.
the mud melts the swallows, while the sand warms the mandarin ducks.
translation;
The mountains and rivers bathed in spring are particularly beautiful, and the spring breeze brings the fragrance of flowers and plants.
With the coming of spring, the soil melts and becomes soft. Swallows nest with mud in their mouths, and couples of mandarin ducks fall asleep on the warm sand.
Appreciation:
Tao Yukai, a poetic theorist in Qing Dynasty, pointed out in his book "On Du Fu" that there are many works in Du Fu's collection that "take poetry as painting". This five-character quatrain written in Chengdu Caotang is a very poetic masterpiece. At the beginning of the poem, I started with ink from a big place, depicting the bright and beautiful spring scenery around Huanhuaxi under the bright sunshine in early spring. The pen is simple and colorful.
"Late day" means spring day, which means that "Spring day is late" in The Book of Songs, Gui Feng and July. Here is used to highlight the sunshine in early spring, so as to control the whole article. At the same time, the word "Li" is used to dye "Jiangshan", which shows the beautiful scenery of sunny spring, green fields and streams reflecting the sun. Although this is a rough sketch, the bottom of the pen is a spring swing.
