Why did Du Fu say that "leaves fall like the waves of a waterfall" instead of "boundless leaves rustling"?

Before answering this question, I actually read all the other answers, hoping to find an answer that is highly consistent with me. In that case, I can be lazy and don't bother to write highly similar answers.

Unfortunately, the previous answers are all wrong! Therefore, I feel extremely sad for the poet Du Fu, and also for his masterpiece Ascending the Mountain. The full text of Ascension is as follows:

In the wild wind in the vast sky, the ape is sobbing? Birds fly over the clear lake and white sand beach and fly home.

The endless trees are rustling leaves, and the Yangtze River is rolling unpredictably.

Li in the sad autumn scenery, a wanderer all the year round, lives alone on the high platform in today's illness.

Bad luck has frosted my temples? Heartache and fatigue are a thick layer of dust in my wine.

This seven-melody was written by Du Fu when he lived in Kuizhou in the second year of Dali (AD 767). It was autumn, everything was depressed, and the poet was just old and sick. At this time, he climbed high and looked far, intending to relieve his worries, but unexpectedly his longing for the future aroused the poet's more worries.

When the poet climbed the mountain, he saw the scenery on the Yangtze River. As we all know, the Yangtze River has been the most important transportation channel in China since ancient times. Large-scale transportation, especially the timber rich in southwest China, takes the Yangtze River waterway to reach the two lakes, and then transports it to the Central Plains and other places by land. Leaves fall like the spray of a waterfall, which refers to the spectacular sight of the Yangtze River. River rafts refer to rafts up and down the Yangtze River. Danger lurks in the wonders. If you are not careful, people who put the raft on it will encounter accidents, and it will also bring great security risks to passing ships along the Yangtze River. The above picture is proof, and then look at the grand occasion of discharge:

The size of a raft like the one in the picture was just a pediatrician on the ancient Yangtze River. According to historical records, the rafts on the Yangtze River can stretch for dozens of miles at the peak, with no end in sight. When I was a child, I also witnessed the spectacular scene of the timber cut down by Qinling Mountain coming down the Jialing River. Jialing River joins the Yangtze River in Chongqing, and then goes down, which is Kuizhou. I once doubted whether the raft Du Fu saw was lowered from Jialing River.

I watched the long river roll forward, and the leaves fell like the spray of a waterfall. The danger of the Yangtze River echoes the danger of falling wood, and the surging momentum of the Yangtze River has created the majestic momentum of falling wood. This visual impact effect is achieved through the location of the scenic spot where the poet is located and the huge gap between the Yangtze River and Kuizhou. One? Coming? The word indicates that the poet stands downstream and looks at the upstream; One? Fall? The words write out the huge gap formed when the Yangtze River rushed out of the basin. On the surface, these two sentences describe the scenery, but in fact they are metaphors of the danger of the poet's own fate: illness, loneliness, old age and exile in a foreign land. Even in today's relatively perfect social security, it is doomed that a person has all the above keywords.

Du Fu was called a poet and saint, except that he pleaded for the people and eulogized the sufferings of the bottom of society, which was widely respected by the people. The main reason is that Du Fu is a great realistic poet, and his works are good at realism. So falling wood is falling wood, and it has nothing to do with falling leaves. Moreover, on both sides of the Yangtze River in autumn, the mountains are still lush and green, and birds are singing and apes are whistling, which is completely different from autumn in the north. By the way, some netizens questioned someone yesterday. Famous poet? How can you grow vegetables in winter? I was speechless, so I had to stand upstairs and take a photo to show him and tell him that. Famous poet? I really didn't lie. It is winter here, and it is still beautiful. Visually check where my home is. Use that? Famous poet? Home is at the same latitude, about 200 kilometers north of the Yangtze River. Therefore, deciduous leaves have little to do with most wild tree species along the Yangtze River.
