The Grand Canal came slowly, without the surging waves of the Yellow River and the rushing rapids of the Yangtze River. Only its unique freshness and beauty. It is like a jade belt wrapped around the land of China, beating the pulse of the times and sketching a dusty historical picture. The Grand Canal is full of ambitions of kings, which makes them think highly of themselves. The Grand Canal is also full of ordinary people's sadness, and it is a story of joys and sorrows. The Grand Canal is a history book, writing the eternal feelings of the Chinese nation. In this way, history is highlighted in the book: the bones of history, the context of history and the ups and downs of history are clearly revealed between the lines.
In the Spring and Autumn Period, Fu Cha, the king of Wu, ordered the digging of trenches in order to compete with Qi and dominate the princes. Hangou starts from Suzhou, passes through Wuxi, and then enters the river in Changzhou. This may be the earliest section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in history. In the Qin Dynasty, this canal was connected with the ancient Wujiang River in Zhenjiang, and later Yang Di connected it with the Bianhe River and extended it to Hangzhou. It was not until the Yuan Dynasty that it was connected with the Huitong River in Shandong Province that the characteristics of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal were fully revealed.
The Grand Canal runs through the Dragon City and should be regarded as the mother river of Changzhou people. Nowadays, the riverside shops in Biji Lane have been renovated, but the style of white walls and tiles can still vaguely remind people of the prosperity of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Pushing open the wooden lattice fan, you can see the Ming city wall and the old canal pier-the table yard. The miraculous tablet pavilion on the dock still retains its historical features. A Dream of Red Mansions says that Jia Baoyu said goodbye to his father at Baling Station and fled into an empty net. Therefore, through textual research, Dalin Temple of Hengshan Bridge in the east of Changzhou is the place where Jia Baoyu became a monk. Of course, there is no basis for this statement, because Jia Baoyu is a virtual character and Cao Xueqin has never been a monk. I wonder why Cao Xueqin chose Changzhou as Jia Baoyu's farewell place for his father. However, it seems that the Baling Station in Changzhou was already a well-known canal pier at that time.
The Grand Canal runs through the urban area of Changzhou and is integrated with the urban river network. Modern young people can't tell which section belongs to the canal and which section belongs to the city river. The Grand Canal has nurtured Changzhou people and left many cultural relics of the canal that we still need to explore. The staggered urban water network meets at the boat pavilion outside the east gate. The original name of Zhouzhou Pavilion is Wenchengba, where Su Dongpo often berths. In order to commemorate this immortal satellite, Changzhou people built a boat pavilion on Dongpo as a memorial. Su Dongpo visited Changzhou 1 1 times all his life and finally died here. Once he went to Zhenjiang from Hangzhou and passed through Changzhou. On New Year's Eve, he went to the eastern suburb outside the city of Gu Zhou Ye Su, and wrote a song "Stay overnight outside Changzhou". There is also a scenic spot in Qianzhouting Park called Yesu Pavilion. "It's hard to sleep in the middle of the night; One night alone. " The quaint couplets of Xiao Zhuan are reminiscent of how Mr. Dongpo spent the New Year's Eve of national reunion on this lonely boat in the middle of nowhere. For a generation of satellites, it is Changzhou's luck to choose Changzhou as the final destination, which also confirms the cultural heritage of this city known as the capital of eight cities. At present, there is a "Suyang Pavilion" in Qianzhouting Park, and many couplets are engraved on Suyang Pavilion, all written by Changzhou modern literati: "The Phoenix Pavilion is impermanent, Qiongdao has become a sea passenger for three years, and Longcheng has the honor to spend a thousand years as a poetic soul", "When the sea returns, it always opens a poetic realm, and those who stay in the mountains worship the charm of satellites", all of which express Changzhou people's admiration for this unique poet.
Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited the south along the canal many times in their lives, and also stayed in Changzhou many times, and built the Wanshou Pavilion on the slipway and rebuilt the pavilion. In particular, I went to Jiangnan eight times and landed in Yizhou Pavilion six times. Moreover, poems are left every time, and now the inscription inscribed by the imperial pen in Qianlong for eight years is still well preserved in Ganzhou Pavilion Park. Really: "I've come a long way to wave an imperial pen for Poxian;" Leave the poem and go, and the long article will be broadcast in Longcheng. " After Gan Long landed, it was called "Royal Pier". Now, except that stone tablet, ships are not allowed to dock. But it is conceivable that the "Royal Pier" in those days must be a bustling place on the canal.
When I was a child, I remembered that the canal was not spacious, only the boat with pole sails and the porter with bent back that shuttled back and forth on the canal. When I was a child, I only knew that this canal was dug by Yang Di to see the Qionghua in Yangzhou, and it became a special channel for him to live a luxurious life and search for the people's wealth. "Bianshui is the most accessible to Li Huai, and the damage caused by strangers is also harmonious. In the forty-three States in the southeast, it was this river that swept all the grease. "This was the feeling of people on the canal at that time. But in that era when traffic was extremely underdeveloped, the canal also shouldered the heavy responsibility of north-south freight transportation. The tyrant's luxury has nothing to do with the water conservancy of the canal. "Is the sui dynasty river, from now on. If there is no dragon boat in the temple, Yu will not make much contribution. " Pi Rixiu's song "Looking Back on the Past by the Bian River" finally made a fair evaluation of the Grand Canal. He said that if Emperor Yang Di dug this canal for the people, his achievements could be compared with that of Dayu.
"Bianshui flows eastward in infinite spring, and Sui Palace has become dust", and history will eventually turn over. At the end of 2007, Changzhou completed the southward migration of the Grand Canal. The Changzhou section of the new canal is 90 meters wide and crystal clear, with dozens of meters of green belts on both sides, which has become another leisure place for citizens. The ancient canal in the city has also completed the historical mission of water transportation, and its cultural relics have yet to be discovered. The profound Longcheng Canal culture will surely go down in history and be handed down to future generations. like
