The past belongs to death, and the future belongs to oneself.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
When love dies, the human heart is just a living grave.
The more we read, the more we find ourselves ignorant.
You can be pitiful when you can't love.
The greatest secret in morality is love.
Whoever chooses the dawn at night chooses the wind of freedom for him.

Shelley wrote many excellent lyric poems, which reflected the author's democratic thought and fighting spirit. The Spanish people launched a revolutionary movement against alien oppression and feudal autocracy, and Shelley presented an ode to the Spanish people. The poet encouraged the working people to know their own strength and get up to change their slave situation. Shelley advocates nature, praises the beauty of nature and is good at describing natural phenomena to express his feelings. While describing the power and changes of nature, he endowed himself with the pursuit of light and freedom. Shelley is familiar with nature, and he personifies it. "Percy, Bishop, Shelley, what the heart wants", this is Shelley's tombstone inscription for himself before his death. Inscription is also the general summary of Shelley's poems. His poetry is a typical spiritual social life. The fantasy of his works, the free way of describing nature, the wonderful metaphor and the musicality of language constitute the complex and changeable artistic style of Shelley's lyric poems.
