Human beings in the world, in love and desire, live and die alone, go and come alone. When you reach the destination of happiness and suffering, you should be there by yourself, and there is no substitute for it.
This passage is excerpted from the Infinite Life Sutra. In this world, because we all covet the five desires, we are all "in love". But in fact, they are all “born alone and die alone, and come alone when they go.” This does not mean that when we die, we die alone or go alone. Even when we are born, we are also born alone and come alone. "Only born alone" means that even if we have six relatives, love and harmony, we are still lonely, because often it is difficult for us to have a close friend to talk to about our worries, so there is a saying in Taiwanese that "we are lonely" Who knows?” Everyone feels the same way! Therefore, even if you get along with others, you are still alone. What's more, "When you travel to the ultimate destination, the land of suffering and happiness, you should do it yourself, and there is no substitute for it"! When we are on our deathbed and receive retribution, whether it is a place of suffering or happiness, a good path or an evil path, we have to bear it ourselves. No one can replace us, even if we want to, we cannot. This is "self-restraint" "The cause comes from itself" and "it comes from itself".
