What are the excellent poems in Ireland?
Irish poetry creation is very active. Austin Clark (1896- 1974) appeared in the 1920s and 1930s, followed by Patrick Keffner (1904- 1967) in the 1940s, and Louis macneice (1), who wrote mainly in Britain. Among them, The Great Hunger by Koffner (1942) and Nightcrawler by kinsella (1968) were all the rage. Kinsella's translation of the ancient Irish epic The Long March of Cattle is also a great achievement. Seamus heaney (1939-), a young poet, has been very active since 1960s. He doesn't write about cities or industrial society, but writes about ordinary rural scenery and strong laborers in distinctive and unconventional simple language.
