Du Fu's Original Text and Translation

The original and translation of Du Fu's Lonely Goose are shared as follows:

Du Guyan, a lonely goose writer, didn't drink pecks, but sang loudly. The geese disappear in the sea of clouds, who will pity the geese in the sky? Looking at the horizon, I seem to see the figure of my companion; The voice in the valley seems to hear the voice of the companion. Wild birds don't understand the lonely goose's heart, but make noise for their own voice.

Lonely geese who stray from the group don't drink water or peck, and their flying calls are full of thoughts about their companions. The geese disappeared in the sea of clouds. Who will pity the lonely geese in the sky? Lonely geese look at the horizon, as if vaguely seeing their partners in front; I kept moaning, as if I heard my companion's call more and more. The wild crow doesn't understand the lonely goose's mind at all, only cares about his own noise.

This is a ode to the goose who misses the sheep, and its emotion is deep and strong. The lonely goose is so lonely and miserable, but at the same time, it has to keep calling and pursuing. Its love for friends burns fiercely in its chest, and it can even abandon eating and drinking, regardless of safety;

Although my life is thin but my heart is high, I would rather fly in the clouds, but I didn't pay attention to the yellow rain and cold pond. My poetry is intense and my ideological realm is high. As far as artistic skills are concerned, the whole article is vivid and vivid, and it is the luck of a great craftsman. It is naturally muddy and has no traces of axe. The two couplets in the middle are full of emotion and scenery, with colorful scenery and even light and shadow, which can give readers a "three-dimensional sense".

The whole poem symbolizes itself with a lonely goose. This poem is about a lonely goose, and not a word is about the poet himself. And this lonely goose, which doesn't drink or peck and whines for company, indirectly implies the poet's feelings of wandering alone in the war and missing his relatives and friends.

This object-chanting poem was written by Du Fu when he lived in Kuizhou at the beginning of Dali period. This is a song of lonely geese thinking about the crowd. Wonderful body music and the author's thoughts and feelings appear at the same time, which is a masterpiece.

According to the usual method, music is the best thing to recite in poetry, and concealment is the best, and what is recited should not be revealed. Du Fu, on the other hand, called out the lone goose from the beginning, but this lone goose is different. It doesn't drink or peck, but keeps flying and barking. The voice reveals: How much it misses its companions!

Not only miss, but also desperately pursue, this is really a passionate and persistent "lonely goose." Pu Qilong, a Qing Dynasty man, commented that "flying sound is the bone of poetry" (reading Du Xinjie), which caught a point.
