Reading and Appreciation of Xu Zhimo's Farewell to Cambridge _ Reading of Xu Zhimo's Farewell to Cambridge

Say goodbye to Cambridge again

Author: Xu Zhimo

I left quietly,

When I came softly;

I waved gently,

Say goodbye to the western clouds.

Golden willow by the river,

Is the bride in the sunset;

Shadows in the waves,

Ripple in my heart.

Green grass on the soft mud,

Oily, swaying at the bottom of the water;

In the gentle waves of He Kang River,

I would like to be an aquatic plant!

A pool in the shade of elm trees,

Not a clear spring,

Is the rainbow in the sky;

Crushed between floating algae,

Precipitate a rainbow-like dream.

Looking for dreams? Lift a long pole,

Back to greener grass;

Full of stars,

Play songs in a starry place.

But I can't play songs,

Quiet is a farewell flute;

Summer insects are also silent for me,

Silence is Cambridge tonight!

I left quietly,

Just as I came quietly;

I waved my sleeve,

Don't take away a cloud.

Xu zhimo (1896— 193 1), whose pen names are Nanhu and Yun Zhonghe. Haining, Zhejiang. He began to write poems around 192 1, and is known as the pillar of the crescent poetry school. 1918 ——1922 studied at Clark university, Columbia university and Cambridge university in England. 1922 After returning to China, he was appointed as Professor Peking University and Professor Tsinghua University. Crescent Society was founded in Beijing on 1923, with Xu Zhimo as one of the founders. 1926, he and Wen Yiduo presided over the poetry seal cutting of Morning News. In Poems, Xu Zhimo and his crescent poets are doing their new poetry experiment. /kloc-in the spring of 0/927, he founded the monthly New Moon with Hu Shi, Liang Shiqiu and Wen Yiduo, and presided over the editing work. The publication of "New Moon" pushed the creation of Crescent Poetry School to a peak. 193 1 year 1 month 65438+9 years, on the way from Shanghai to Beiping, Xu Zhimo, who was only 35 years old, died in the mountainous area of Jinan due to a plane crash.

The days when I was studying at Cambridge University in England, especially deeply influenced Xu Zhimo's life. He called Cambridge his "spiritual hometown". The British civilization embodied in Cambridge intoxicated Xu Zhimo and gradually formed his dream of "Cambridge ideal".

1922 Xu zhimo returned to China. The reality of China under the rule of warlords was dark, which gradually shattered his ideal. /kloc-in the autumn of 0/928, he went to England again and wrote "Farewell to Cambridge" on the boat returning from England on June 6.

A Basic Interpretation of Farewell to Cambridge "Cambridge" is the hometown of Xu Zhimo's spirit, and it is natural for him to bid farewell to Cambridge in a hurry. Saying goodbye quietly and expressing endless attachment are the characteristics of this poem. He Kanghe sparkling in the sunset;

The golden willow by the river is like a veiled bride, and its bright shadow ripples the poet's heart lake;

The green grass on the soft mud is swaying at the bottom of the water, which makes people enchanted-the poet would rather be a water plant and take root in the soft waves of Hekang River forever;

The pool under the shade of elm trees, the rainbow in the sky, the dream on the ground, everything, were crushed in floating seaweed.

Although everything has been shattered, the poet is still looking for his dream with a long pole. In the depths of the grass, he would rather go home with a boat full of stars and singing. But in reality, the poet doesn't want to wake up the dream in his heart. His feeling of parting just turns into a lingering flute in his heart and a silent summer bug in the night sky, saying goodbye in silence, leaving in silence without taking away a cloud.

Appreciation of the essence of Farewell to Cambridge The melancholy of Farewell to Cambridge is deeply hidden in elegant and free expression. "I left gently, just as I came gently"-the lyric hero is like a flowing cloud, invisible, free and stretched. Cambridge in the hero's mind is also dreamlike, beautiful and fragile. Images such as "Golden Willow", "Green Grass", "Xinghui" and "Xiao Sheng" are used in the poem to describe the beauty of Cambridge's landscape and its attachment to Cambridge. These images are often both scenery and lyrical, and scenery and emotion are inseparable. "The golden willow by the lake is the bride in the sunset"-the bride is not only a scene, but also the image of my lover and the expression of old feelings in my heart-emotion and scenery are integrated with each other. Between the golden willows and the green grass, "I" stubbornly searched for "rainbow-like dreams" and "singing in the starlight". In fact, "I" could not indulge in singing, only "silence" and "quietly" left. The scenery remains the same and the people are completely different. The poet bid farewell to Cambridge with his lover's lingering farewell mood and style, and wrote a kind of bitterness. It should be said that this poem is the poet's farewell to the ideal in his heart, affectionate and quiet, and seems to be afraid of breaking the dream in his heart. It subtly reveals the poet's infinite sadness caused by the disillusionment of Cambridge ideal.

Xu Zhimo's poems are simple, light, gentle and full of melancholy. He is good at combining atmosphere, emotion and scenes, and writing dreamlike scenes is also full of a dreamy artistic conception. And the emotional cycle is repeated, free to stretch, and there is no wriggling. Farewell to Cambridge is particularly soothing and pleasant to read, with a harmonious and elegant musical beauty.

Appreciation of Cambridge, the seat of the famous Cambridge University in Britain. 1June 920 to1October 1922, the poet studied here. The Cambridge period was a turning point in Xu Zhimo's life. The poet once wrote from Chen Dao in the preface to the tiger collection: before the age of 24, his interest in poetry was far less than that in relativity or civil contract theory. It was the He Kang River that opened the poet's soul and awakened his long-dormant fate. So he later said with deep affection: My vision was opened by Cambridge, my thirst for knowledge was touched by Cambridge, and my self-awareness was given to me by Cambridge. ? (Smoking and Culture) 1928, the poet revisited his old place. 1On October 6th, he wrote this masterpiece on his way home from Nanhai. This poem was first published in1February, 928, New Moon Monthly, Volume 10, and later included in Tiger Collection. Can you say that? Cambridge complex? Throughout Xu Zhimo's life's poems;

Farewell to Cambridge is undoubtedly the most famous one.

Section 1 is about thousands of parting worries when long-lost classmates leave their alma mater. Three in a row? Gently? It makes us feel as if the poet stood on tiptoe, like a breeze, quietly swinging away;

And the deepest feelings are between waves and demons? Clouds in the western sky. ? Verses 2 to 6 describe the poet boating on the He Kang River in search of his dreams. The golden willows covered with sunset glow, the green grass on the soft mud and the pool under the shade of the tree all come into view. These two metaphors are quite accurate: which one will be the first? Golden willow by the river? Imagine boldly? Bride in the sunset? , make the inanimate scene language become living things, warm and pleasant;

The second is to doubt the clear pool water? Rainbow in the sky? After being crushed by phytoplankton, it changed? Rainbow dream? . It is between infatuation that a poet like Zhuang Zhoumengdie, who has two ambitions, feels straight? Beautiful shadows in the waves/rippling in my heart? Willing to be the grass swaying in the light waves of Hekang River. This good structure of the unity of subject and object is not only a wonderful hand, but also a painstaking effort;

In verses 5 and 6, the poet opens up a new artistic conception. Borrow? Dreams/dreams? ,? Full of stars,/singing in the splendor of stars? ,? Play a song,/but I can't play it? ,? Summer insects are also silent for me. /Silence is Cambridge tonight? Four overlapping sentences push the whole poem to a climax, just like the river in He Kang, full of twists and turns! And his madness of singing in greener grass and bright stars has not been realized. At this time, silence and silence are better than many love words! The last section is based on three? Silent? Corresponding to the first missing ring. Come smartly, go smartly. With a wave of his sleeve, what shook off? Needless to say. Since I once lived in Cambridge, why should I take a cloud with me? The whole poem is stirring in one go. Is it for Xu Zhimo? Poetic life? Best description.

Hu Shi once said: His outlook on life is really a' simple belief', which contains only three big characters: one is love, the other is freedom, and the third is beauty. He dreams that these three ideal conditions can be met in his life, which is his' simple belief'. The history of his life is only the history of his pursuit of this simple belief. (In memory of Xu Zhimo) If so, isn't the poet's wandering by the He Kang River a microcosm of this pursuit? Xu Zhimo advocates artistic poetry. He deeply admired Yiduo's poetic ideas of beauty in music, painting and architecture, especially in music. He even said: only by understanding the truth that the life of poetry lies in its internal rhythm can we appreciate the true taste of poetry;

No matter how noble your thoughts are and how passionate your emotions are, you must thoroughly use them to' musicalize' (that is, poeticize) in order to gain an understanding of poetry.

On the other hand, this poem "Biekangqiao": the whole poem consists of seven sections, four lines each, two meals each, eclectic, rigorous, rhyming strictly, two or four rhymes, cadence and catchy. This beautiful rhythm ripples like ripples, which is not only the voice of pious students seeking dreams, but also conforms to the ebb and flow of poets' emotions and has a unique aesthetic pleasure. Seven verses are strewn at random, and the rhythm is slowly spread out in them, which is quite a bit. White robes and thin suburban islands? Poetic and picturesque. It can be said that it embodies Xu Zhimo's poetic beauty thought.
