Yan 'an University Student Literature Society was formed by the merger of Bugu Poetry Society and Yao Lu Literature Society. At present, it has more than 500 members and always adheres to pure literature and self-characteristics. With the slogan of "publicizing pioneer consciousness and keeping shouting posture", it aims to enliven campus culture and promote the new prosperity of campus literature.
The Bugu Poetry Society was founded in 1979. Ding Ling, a famous writer, wrote the name of the society, which was named "Cuckoo", which means "Cuckoo promotes innovation". After the establishment of the Bugu Poetry Society, the website of Bugu Poetry was founded. The publication was well received by teachers and students, and produced a number of famous literary and art workers, such as Liang, deputy director of Xinhua News Agency's Information Center, Yan 'an, a famous poet, Yu Zaiyang, a children's writer, and Li Jianjun, a famous critic.
The Yao Lu Literature Society was founded on 1993 to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of the famous writer Yao Lu. After its establishment, under the inspiration of Lu Yao's spirit of "working like cattle and dedicating like land", the majority of literary lovers actively created. Over the years, more than 500 literary works have been published in People's Daily, Poetry Magazine, Star, Flying, Selected Poems, Poetry Monthly, Prose Poems, Yanhe, Yan 'an Literature, Humanities of Wenbao University and Yan 'an Daily, and some of them have won national awards.
In 200 1 year, in order to integrate campus literature resources and promote greater development, the Youth League Committee merged two societies and established Yan 'an University Student Literature Society. There are Lanhuiyuan periodical editorial department, Lanhuiyuan newspaper editorial department, reporter department, activity department, propaganda department, foreign relations department and literature and art department. At present, the Literary Society has published the periodical Huilan Academy and the newspaper Huilan Academy, which were inscribed by He Jingzhi, a famous poet, dramatist and former vice minister of culture. Since the merger, the Literary Society has adhered to pure literature, which has made outstanding contributions to the prosperity of our school's culture and has also had a certain impact on other universities in China.
In July, 2009, Yan 'an University Literature Society won the title of "Top 100 National Humanities Associations" in the "First National College Students' Creative Writing Invitational Competition and Selection of Top 100 National Humanities Associations" jointly sponsored by China Newspaper, Sichuan Children's Publishing House and Blogger's Novel List Magazine.
