It is located in the center of Xi, at the intersection of four streets, east, west, north and south, within the Ming City Wall. It is the largest and best-preserved bell tower in China. It was built in the seventeenth year of Hongwu, Ming Taizu (1384), and it was first built in the street corner of Guangji today. Opposite the Drum Tower, Ming Shenzong moved in the 10th year of Wanli (1582).
The bell tower is built on a square base, in the form of brick and wood structure, with three eaves and four corners. It is 36 meters high and covers an area of 1, 377 square meters.

Xi 'an Bell Tower was built in the 17th year of Ming Hongwu (1384). The original site is located in Guangji Street, Jinxi Street, facing the Drum Tower. There used to be a big clock hanging upstairs, which was used to alarm the time, hence the name "Bell Tower". Ming Shenzong Wanli Decade (AD 1582) was presided over by Gong Xian, the patrol ambassador, who moved the bell tower to this site.

Extended data:
Xi' an city wall's four gates
The city walls built during the Hongwu period include Changle Gate, Anyuanmen, Yongning and Andingmen, which means "Yongding in Chang 'an".
1, Changle Gate, the east gate of the city wall, "Changle" means to pray for the long-term happiness of Daming Mountain. Unfortunately, at the end of the Ming Dynasty, King Chuang captured Xi 'an from this gate, and during the reign of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, the East Gate was rebuilt.
2. Anyuanmen, that is, the north gate of the city wall, "Anyuan" means to submit to the court and adopt a policy of appeasement to remote ethnic minorities.
Yongningmen, the south gate of the city wall, is no stranger to online celebrities. But I'm afraid no one noticed that the south gate is rarely opened, because the main fire in the south, in order to avoid fire, close the south gate and keep peace forever.
4. Andingmen is the west gate of the city wall. The word "Anding" means Antai Kangding in the northwest frontier. Ximen Arched Tower is the most intact ancient castle in China so far.
