The poem "I wish I were a torrent" expresses the author's love for "my love" with warm and unrestrained sincere feelings. The whole poem is divided into five natural paragraphs, and five groups of images are used to compare the love relationship between "I" and "my lover": torrent and fish, wild forest and bird, ruins and ivy, hut and fire, clouds and clouds.
