A comparison of love views between I wish I were a torrent and to an oak tree.

I hope I am a torrent, vividly depicting the intimate relationship between two lovers. For love, for being together, I have the courage and strength to give everything.

Zhi Oak denies the naive girl's view of love, and she pursues an independent, equal and interdependent view of love, respecting each other's existence and cherishing her own value.

The poem "I wish I were a torrent" expresses the author's love for "my love" with warm and unrestrained sincere feelings. The whole poem is divided into five natural paragraphs, and five groups of images are used to compare the love relationship between "I" and "my lover": torrent and fish, wild forest and bird, ruins and ivy, hut and fire, clouds and clouds. The contrast of these five groups of images reflects the poet's two different emotions.

To the Oak Tree is a poem that uses the overall symbolic artistic technique. With the inner monologue of "Kapok" to "Oak Tree", it enthusiastically and frankly sings its own personality ideal and love view that requires standing shoulder to shoulder, independence and affection. It can be seen that the poet has carefully designed when choosing the materials for poetry creation: oak is so suitable to represent the masculine beauty of men, while kapok is so suitable to represent women's self-reliance and equality with men. As soon as this poem was born, oak and kapok became a new group of images in China's love poems.
