The Background of Bing Xin's Four Poems
Bing Xin's four poems are selected from Stars and Spring Water. This is a collection of poems written by Bing Xin during the May 4th Movement. Written in 192 1 and 1922 respectively, they are all short poems. It records the poet's instant inspiration. Poetry contains love for mother, love for innocence, love for human beings, love for nature, love for God, and understanding of death, immortality, darkness, sadness, silence and pessimism, as well as some incomprehensible mysteries. From11920s to11930s, Bing Xin's poems have undergone obvious changes, gradually moving from the ivory tower of personal feelings to the sad real world and to the troubled motherland and people. In form, it has changed from "fragmentary articles" to continuous lyricism, deliberately pursuing rhythm, rhythm and musicality. Many poems have the rhythmic style of crescent poetry.
