How did poetry come into being?

1, the origin of poetry

In our country of poetry, poetry has been the mainstream of literary history for thousands of years.

How did poetry come into being? It turns out that before the formation of literature, our ancestors compiled rhymes in order to pass on the experience in the production struggle to others or the next generation for memory and dissemination. According to Mr Wen Yiduo's textual research, [poem] and [ambition] are originally the same word, and [ambition] belongs to [scholar] and [heart], which shows that what stops in the heart is actually memory. After the writing came into being, with the help of literature, there is no need for rote learning. At this time, all written records are called records. Desire is poetry. Have ambition in your heart and speak like a poem.

How did the title of the song come from? Poetry and songs are not the same thing Songs are produced by human labor at the same time, long before the formation of literature and long before poetry. At first, we only used sighs to express our feelings, such as ah, xi, oh, alas, and so on. At that time, these words were all pronounced with the same pronunciation: "ah". Song is a pictophonetic character, pronounced with "ke". In ancient times, [song] and [ah] were the same word, and the [ah] that people uttered in their labor was called composition. Therefore, the title of the song has been used.

Since poetry and song are not the same thing, why did they later be linked together and called [Poetry]? As long as we understand their relationship. At first, Song only used simple interjections to express emotions. With the appearance of language, people's understanding of objective things has gradually deepened and their emotions have become richer, so it is far from enough to express them with a few exclamations. So content words are added to the song to meet the needs. After the appearance of words, the combination of poetry and songs went further, and lyrics written in words appeared. At this time, a song includes two parts: one is music and the other is lyrics. Music is lyrical, and the lyrics are poetic and memorable. In other words, poetry is a song with music and a poem without music. The original poem can be sung with music. Songs are poems, and poems are songs. The combination of poems and songs has been discussed for a long time in China ancient books.

Preface to Mao's poems: "Heart is ambition, words are poetry." Emotions move in the heart and form in words. If words are not enough, lament. If there are not enough words, recite them. If there are not enough songs, I don't know how to dance. "Shangshu": "Poetry expresses ambition, but songs are silent", which vividly points out the internal relationship between poetry and songs. Because of this situation, people later called poetry and song side by side, but at present, poetry has become synonymous with poetry.

When does poetry come first?

In ancient times, poetry was originally called "chapter" or "chapter", not "head". For example, China's earliest book of songs is called Three Hundred Poems, Qu Yuan's poem is called Nine Chapters, and the poem is called First, which first appeared in the early years of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. At that time, there was a poet named Sun Chuo, who wrote in "Preface to Sorrow and Music": "It's better to write a poem than to mourn for death." A man named Zhitong wrote: "A poem about chatting" in Preface to Poems of Taoism. Since then, people generally call poetry the first.

2. The poet speaks his mind directly, and his rich and peculiar imagination flies between the lines. 3. Poetry genres can be divided into two categories: ancient poetry and new poetry. Ancient poems can be divided into modern poems and ancient poems (ancient style), and modern poems can be divided into metrical poems (metrical poems [five-character metrical poems, seven-character metrical poems], quatrains [five-character quatrains, seven-character quatrains]), words and songs. New poems include free poems (vernacular poems produced since the May 4th Movement), prose poems (lyric poems expressed in prose) and folk songs (poems circulated by the people and created collectively).

Ancient poetry includes poems and songs. 4. As a popular art form, poetry has its own artistic beauty. Personally, the artistic beauty of poetry is reflected in at least three aspects. The beauty of words, poetry expresses the author's thoughts through words, and how to express the author's meaning with accurate and vivid words is the most basic effort in poetry writing, that is, refining words and sentences, which is also the basic embodiment of the beauty of poetry words. Du Fu's Moon: Four more mountains spit the moon, and the night is full of water. The words "spit" and "bright" here not only accurately describe the scenery at that time, but also deeply realize that "spit" and "bright" are moving in silence, moving in silence, combining static and dynamic, and extremely vivid. This is really a masterpiece of an era; The beauty of artistic conception and the artistic conception of poetry are also the connotation of poetry. The artistic conception expressed by a good poem is not only clear and profound, but also makes readers memorable and produces a strong psychological voice. Beautiful melody, poetry is also called poetry, which shows that poetry and song are closely related. We know that in ancient times, there were many poems that could be used to sing. For example, the Song of the King of Qin, written by Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, was used to sing at large-scale ceremonies at that time. The Song of the Big Wind sung by Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang at a rural banquet is the same as that sung by Xiang Yu when he was besieged in Gaixia. Of course, not every poem is suitable for singing. Also note that poetry is not for reading, but for reading. The ancients called it "poetry". In many old sayings, "poetry" is associated with the verb "Yin". As the saying goes, "You can recite poems even if you are familiar with 300 Tang poems" and "poetry and painting", which is the truth. Why do you want to read poetry? This is because the rhythmic beauty of poetry itself, especially metrical poetry, cannot be understood without making a sound, so I suggest that the author must read and appreciate other people's works when creating poetry, otherwise the beauty of poetry will be lost for no reason.

Why do poems rhyme? Because rhyming words are not only easy to remember, but also good to listen to! Give an example of modern spoken English. When new employees arrive at the company to greet old employees, they can say "I am new here, please take care of me" or "I am new here, please take care of me". Both expressions have the same meaning, but obviously the latter is easier to say and sounds comfortable. Rhymed articles are generally called rhymes. In fact, it is not only poetry that needs rhyme, but also many literary creation forms use rhyme. Many ancient documents are rhyming, and they are all rhyming, such as Laozi; Some rhymes, such as Zhuangzi, Lu Chunqiu, Huai Nan Zi, Tang Tou Ge Ji of later generations, many notices of ancient government, Yan Jia, ancient art books such as Sanlve, Tamia Liu, and ancient medical skills such as Lingshu and Suwen, all rhyme. Fellow practitioners who are familiar with ancient literature should know that rhyme is actually very developed in ancient times and is also a very dominant form of expression. Not only these ancient books, but also the lyrics of folk songs, proverbs, folk songs and various local operas rhyme more or less. Some people may say, I don't know what a good rhyme is yet! Everyone should know that artistic forms that emphasize the beauty of melody, such as poems, words, lyrics of operas and songs, all use rhyme, which only shows that rhyme can enhance the beauty of melody of these artistic forms. In fact, the so-called free poetry (modern poetry) also needs rhyme, and the lyrics of many modern songs also use rhyme (songs are not poems after all, so most of them don't use rhyme, but rhyme). Of course, these modern works should use modern rhymes instead of ancient rhymes. The most fundamental thing is that poetry must rhyme, and if it doesn't rhyme, it is not a poem.
