English poetry lyrics of classic dreams

I had a dream in the past.

When hopes are high and life is worth living.

I dreamed that love would never die.

I pray that God will forgive me.

I was young and fearless.

Dreams are created, used and wasted.

There is no ransom to pay.

No song, no singing, no wine, no taste.

But tigers will appear at night

Their voices are soft as thunder.

When they tear up your hopes

They shamed your dreams.

I still dream that he will come to me.

We will spend these years together.

But some dreams can't come true

And storms that we can't resist

I dream that my life will be

So different from the hell I live in.

So different from what it looks like now.

Now life has killed my dream.
